Dinner Break on Day 1b

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

At the end of level six, there are 91 players remaining out of a field of 126 entries and they headed into a 45-minute dinner break. 888poker ambassador Chris Moorman entered a few minutes prior to that and sat down next to Sorin Radulescu and chip leader Gennaro Proscia.

Pre Dinner Casualties

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Marcel Fulgusin clashed with Nethanel Klein when both players flopped a flush draw and rivered a flush on a board of {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. It was Klein that had barreled through and jammed the river with the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} only for Fulgusin to snap him off with the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Klein was left with some 4,000 and busted soon after. Further pre-dinner casualties include Zhiping Zeng, who busted twice in quick succession once more similar to Day 1a, Nandor Solyom, Dan Murariu, Iulian Tataru and Lucian Bera.

Guilbert Doubles Throigh Valilis

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Down to the last 7,200, Johan Guilbert moved all in from the cutoff and Angelos Valilis came along from the big blind.

Johan Guilbert: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Angelos Valilis: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

The kicker played on a board of {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{j-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and Guilbert doubled to avoid a re-entry for now.

Festa Eliminated

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

Down to very few chips, Mattia Festa ended up all in and at risk with the {a-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and was called by Riad Chahaf with the {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. The {q-Clubs} appeared right away on the flop and Festa was drawing dead on a blank turn.

Chahaf has already entered twice on Day 1a without success, and now has a playable stack mid-way through Day 1b.

Small Pot for Shahar; Potcoava Busts Manzaneda Lozano

Level 6 : 200/500, 500 ante

On the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} turn, Ran Shahar check-raised a bet of 1,500 by table neighbor Marius Asanache to 3,500 and was called. Shahar then bet the {6-Hearts} river for 900 and Asanache called to get shown {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs} by Shahar.

"I thought you had the king," Shahar sighed.

Two tables over, Juan Manuel Manzaneda Lozano ended up all in and at risk in a flip for 18,000 and was called by Mihnea Potcoava.

Juan Manuel Manzaneda Lozano: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Mihnea Potcoava: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The board came {9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and that was it for the Spaniard.

Marquez Runs Into Queens Again

Level 5 : 200/400, 400 ante
Ana Marquez
Ana Marquez

Ana Marquez was eliminated early on Day 1a after running with ace-queen into pocket queens and the Day 1b can be summed up with two words: Copy paste.

After a limp under the gun and a call in middle position by Pedro Gabriel Andrada Martin. Cornel Stan raised on the button and Marquez jammed the small blind, which only Stan called with a slightly superior stack.

Ana Marquez: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}
Cornel Stan: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Marquez missed out on the overcard and gutshot to bow out. She will likely enter for her third bullet in the event on day 1c.
