Pal Eliminated by Tamaduianu

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Irina Barbara, Alexandru Papazian and Ferenc Pal have been eliminated. The latter ran with {k-Spades}{9-Spades} into the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Andrei Tamaduianu and found no help on the {7-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board.

Bostan Doubles Through Re

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Traian Bostan
Traian Bostan

Traian Bostan came back with a below-average stack and was rather certain to be on the brink of elimination when he jammed the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} turn for 27,400. Gabriele Re gave it some consideration and made the call, which prompted Bostan to tap the table and say "good call."

Traian Bostan: {j-Hearts}{9-Spades}
Gabriele Re: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The river was the blank {5-Diamonds} and Bostan doubled.

Assorted Counts From Level 9

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Big Double for Chiva

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Eugen Chiva
Eugen Chiva

With more than 85,000 already in the middle and the turn showing {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}, Eugen Chiva moved all in for the last 47,900 and faced Alexandru Ciureanu. The latter asked for an exact count and used two time banks before making the call.

Eugen Chiva: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Alexandru Ciureanu: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Ciureanu shook his head and the {8-Diamonds} river failed to improve his hand. Despite losing this massive pot, Ciureanu still has two times the starting stack at his disposal.

Casualties From Level 8 and 9

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Drytchak Busts Catanoiu and Lakhdari

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a previous table, Marian Catanoiu had jammed preflop for far more than the average stack into a min-raise and three callers, flashing {7-Spades}{6-Spades} before raking in the pot amid plenty of laughter at the table. He was then moved to a table with big stack Natalia Drytchak. He kept the same strategy, albeit with fewer chips and out of the big blind. Omar Lakhdari as initial raiser reshoved and Drytchak snap-called in the small blind.

Marian Catanoiu: {7-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Omar Lakhdari: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Natalia Drytchak: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

On a board of {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, Drytchak scored yet another double knockout to further build a massive wall.

David Hughes joked "if she is calling, you know it's all over, she has knocked out everyone from this table."

Micu Jams Twice and Shows

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mihai Micu first jammed into Traian Bostan on a ten-high flop and showed pocket kings after the fold of Bostan. Soon after, Micu was involved in a hand again with Bostan and Andrei Spataru.

On the {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop, only Spataru called a bet of 11,000 and folded to a jam on the {4-Spades} turn. He flashed {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and Micu returned the favor, revealing {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a set.
