Hatipoglu Busts Calinescu

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Bahadir Hatipoglu
Bahadir Hatipoglu

Bahadir Hatipoglu has already fired five entries on Day 1c and may eventually build up a stack for Day 2. The latest showdown included Hatipoglu and plenty of drama. He had raised to 2,500 and picked up three callers. Claudiu Calinescu was in the big blind with a T-5,000 in for his big blind and 100 chips behind. He tossed in the single chip without saying all in, which Hatipoglu took as an all in and jammed over the top.

The floorman was called and the ruling was eventually confirmed just as that, which forced out the three callers.

Claudiu Calinescu: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Bahadir Hatipoglu: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the kicker played to eliminate Calinescu.

No Fortune for Nodea

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Johannes Roumen
Johannes Roumen

Andrei Nodea had nursed a shorter stack for quite some time and eventually got his last 9,000 in with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Johannes Roumen had that dominated with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} and left Nodea drawing dead on the turn of a board {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

Bloechlinger Chips Up Further

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Maureen Bloechlinger
Maureen Bloechlinger

Maureen Bloechlinger's raise was called only by Cristian Tardea in the small blind and the flop came {q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Tardea checked and called a bet of 2,600 before doing so again for 5,700 on the {3-Spades} turn. Tardea then checked the {5-Diamonds} river and Bloechlinger made it 7,000 to go.

Tardea looked over and grinned at Bloechlinger, who smiled back. Tardea folded and Bloechlinger mucked her cards with the words "too much."

Last Level to Register for 1c

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

With up to 223 entries, Day 1c has ensured that the guaranteed prize pool of €300,000 has already been surpassed with the turbo heat 1d still to come. Below are some players that were eliminated just prior to the last level to register for Day 1c.

Level: 8

Blinds: 400/800

Potcoava Busts Eventually

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Levente Pal opened to 2,500 and Peter Jaksland called in the small blind. Jaksland checked and called a bet of 2,300 on the {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop. After the {2-Spades} turn and the {6-Spades} river, both players checked and Jaksland won the pot with {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}.

In the next hand, Mihnea Potcoava jammed for just 4,600 with the {a-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Pal three-bet to 12,000 to isolate with {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. The board came {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Potcoava doubled. However, a few minutes later he headed out of the tournament area.

Potcoava Doubles; Archer Gets Some

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante
Ross Archer
Ross Archer

Mihai Micu had Mihnea Potcoava all in and at risk with {10-Clubs}{10-Spades} versus {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Potcoava avoided firing another bullet in the event for now as the board came {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

Ross Archer has also re-entered today already and was involved in three-way action. On the {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop he bet 4,000 in late position and was called by Alexandru Arnautu in the cutoff, Martin Jacobson on the button and the big blind folded. Archer bet another 5,000 on the {7-Clubs} turn to get called, the {8-Hearts} river was checked. Archer flashed {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Arnautu mucked the {k-Clubs}.

Trinfa Triples Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Roland Trinfa had been eliminated earlier today and re-entered only to find himself all in and at risk against two opponents on the {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop. Trinfa eventually tripled up for 13,500 with the {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, as Petre Chiriac with {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and a third player in the hand with {a-Spades}{j-Spades} could not deal the final blow on the {2-Hearts} turn and {8-Diamonds} river run out.
