Some Value for Lichagin

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Aleksandr Chernikov raised to 250,000 with the {q-Spades}{q-Clubs} and Konstantin Lichagin called in the big blind with {k-Spades}{6-Spades}. They checked the {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop and the {7-Clubs} turn. Lichagin bet the {9-Diamonds} on the river for 450,000 into a pot of 650,000 and Chernikov snap-called.

Lichagin showed his top pair and Chernikov revealed his queens with frustration.

Ravil Khamatgareev: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Vasiliy Tsapko: {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}

On a board of {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, Khamatgareev found no help and was eliminated in 8th place for 704,900 RUB.

Tsapko Leaves Chernikov on Crumbs

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Maksym Lavrov limped the small blind with {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Vasiliy Tsapko raised to 350,000 with {j-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, which Lavrov called. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Lavrov check-folded to a continuation bet.

Chip leader Leonid Semenyuk opened to 200,000 with {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Anton Konovalov called in the big blind with the {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. On a {8-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop, Konovalov checked and faced a continuation bet worth 175,000. That ended the hand right there.

Aleksandr Chernikov then made it 200,000 to go with the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Vasiliy Tsapko three-bet to 700,000 with the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the button, Chernikov called. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Chernikov jammed for 3,500,000, Tsapko snap-called for two big blinds fewer.

The {2-Spades} on the turn and the {a-Clubs} river brought no help to Chernikov and he was left with crumbs.

Aleksandr Chernikov
Aleksandr Chernikov

One hand after the big clash, Aleksandr Chernikov was in the big blind and Vasiliy Tsapko raised to 205,000 in the cutoff, Chernikov ended up all in from the big blind.

Aleksandr Chernikov: {q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Vasiliy Tsapko: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}

The {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{4-Spades} flop gave a pair while Tsapko had the flush draw. Nothing changed on the {6-Hearts} turn, but the {j-Spades} river ended the tournament for Chernikov in 7th place as Tsapko finished the job he had started in the previous hand.

Break With Six Remaining

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Maksym Lavrov had raise-folded with decent starting hands three times and his fourth attempt with {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} for 200,000 saw Anton Konovalov jam all in with {a-Spades}{9-Clubs} out of the small blind. Lavrov once again folded and his stack plummeted to around 30 big blinds.

Konovalov raised the button to 200,000 with {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Ivan Fedorov jammed out of the small blind with the {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for 14 big blinds to win the last hand of the level before the players headed on a 15-minute break.

The {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{5-Spades} board provided no help and Lichagin doubled.

Shortly after, chip leader Leonid Semenyuk raised with the {10-Spades}{8-Spades} and Lichagin jammed the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts} in the cutoff to scoop another pot, as Semenyuk folded.

Anton Konovalov raised to 240,000 with the {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Leonid Semenyuk folded king-queen in the small blinds, while Konstantin Lichagin called the {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} in the big blind. Vasiliy Tsapko raised to 240,000 with the {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} and Semenyuk flat-called the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. Lichagin looked at {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} in the small blind and once again used a time bank before moving allin. Tsapko folded and Semenyuk did the same in very quick fashion.

Just One Flop

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante

Vasiliy Tsapko raised to 240,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Leonid Semenyuk called in the big blind with {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. The flop brought {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Semenyuk check-folded to a continuation bet.

Tsapko then raised to 240,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} in the hijack and Konstantin Lichagin in the big blind moved in for 3,500,000 with the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Tsapko gave it some consideration and folded.

Konovalov min-raised to 240,000 with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and Semenyuk folded {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} on the button. Lichagin let go in the small blind and Maksym Lavrov also folded ten-high in the big blind.

Konovalov made it back-to-back raises with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} from under the gun and Lavrov called with {a-Spades}{j-Spades} in the small blind. Tsapko moved all in out of the big blind with the {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and that forced two folds.
