The Run-Bad Continues fo Brzezinski

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Tomasz Brzezinski had re-entered just moments ago and the very first hand he played would result in his elimination. In a battle against table big stack Luis Jimenez Vela Brzezinski flopped top pair with {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and turned trips queens on a {q-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} board only for Jimenez Vela to reveal {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} for the better kicker.

On his way out Brzezinski could all but smile.

Lovgren Folds to Del Pino

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Omar Del Pino raised in the hijack and was called by Sofia Lovgren in the cutoff. Del Pino continued on the {j-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop and picked up a call before he checked the {a-Clubs} turn, Lovgren bet 3,500 and received a call.

On the {6-Spades} river, Del Pino checked once more and Lovgren bet 13,000. A check-raise to 95,100 followed and Lovgren was covered by that. She grabbed into her passport to retrieve the time bank cards and used one of them before opting to fold.

Novik In the Lead

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

While several players have nearly three times the starting stack, one particular big stack has just appeared and that one belongs to Gleb Novik. The Russian, who had already taken part in the last 888poker LIVE London festival, seems to be the current chip leader.

Novik just now scooped a pot in which 18,000 chips to the {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop brought no further betting action on the {5-Spades} turn and {5-Hearts} river. Novik tabled the {a-Spades}{9-Spades} for nines and fives, which was enough to scoop the pot.

Assorted Counts

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Gicovanu Folds to Soria

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

On a board of {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{5-Spades}, Salvador Soria bet 42,000 into a pot of 79,000 and that sent Marius Gicovanu deep into the think tank. He used two time bank extensions and eventually opted to fold.

Gicovanu is already on his second bullet of the day and the same also applies for Claudio Di Giacomo one seat over.

Macesovic Busts One

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Irena Macesovic
Irena Macesovic

After running up a big stack early on Day 1a, Irena Macesovic came up short of bagging chips and will try to do better on Day 1b. She has already chipped up a lot again and was just now involved in an all-in showdown.

On the {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades} turn, Macesovic bet 12,500 and called the shove for not that much more. The player at risk tabled {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for top and bottom pair while Macesovic had outs with {a-Spades}{3-Spades} for the nut flush draw. Instead of a spade, the board completed with the {3-Diamonds} to improve Macesovic to aces and treys.

Seven Deuce Never Lose

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

The 2017 888poker LIVE Barcelona Main Event champion Luigi Shehadeh has been able to run up a profit after entering in the current level and he was just involved in a four-way pot to the {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop. Action checked to Shehadeh and he bet 3,000, the button min-raised to 6,000 and the Italian was the only caller.

Nothing much happened on the {9-Diamonds} turn and {6-Clubs} river, and the button scooped the pot with {7-Spades}{2-Spades}. Shehadeh could all but smile over the outcome.
