Theodosiou Doubles Through Nitsche

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Petros Theodosiou
Petros Theodosiou

Petros Theodosiou opened to 12,000 and Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 40,000. Theodosiou moved all-in and Nitsche quickly called.

Petros Theodosiou: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Dominik Nitsche: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The board came {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Nitsche's rise before the dinner break was canceled out as he dropped back to the starting stack.

Ahn Busts One

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Byungwook Ahn made it through the turbo heat 1d with a stack of 70,000 and has since chipped up a lot. Just now he looked up a shorter stack for around 55,000 and was well ahead with {q-Clubs}{q-Spades} versus {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Ahn earned the checkmark on the turn of a board {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} while the flush for his opponent was just a needle.

Back From Dinner

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The screens have been updated to reveal 378 players remaining in the three different tournament rooms on the same floor and the cards are back in the air with blinds of 3,000-6,000 and a big blind ante of 6,000.

Dinner on Day 2

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Two of the five tournament areas have been cleared and the field has been whittled down to the last 383 players out of 1,067 entries, who have now been sent into a 60-minute dinner break. When they return, the blinds will remain the same for the next 40-minute level.

Youssafi Busts One

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Khalil Youssafi
Khalil Youssafi

Kara Scott opened the action with a raise to 15,000 in middle position and then faced a shove by the player from one seat over for around 125,000. Khalil Youssafi in the cutoff also moved all-in for slightly more, which forced a fold from all other players including Scott.

Youssafi was trailing with {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} versus {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and immediately vaulted out of his chair. However, he sat back down when the {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop provided the set. The {2-Clubs} turn and {3-Clubs} river were blanks and Youssafi scored the elimination.

Ruida Caught Bluffing

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Michael Uguccioni
Michael Uguccioni

Lin Ruida, who led the field into Day 2 as the overall chip leader, was on his way to one million in chips but Michael Uguccioni slowed down that process and gave himself the chance to potentially become the first chip millionaire of the tournament.

Ruida bet the {9-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs} turn for 120,000 out of the small blind and Uguccioni called on the button. The {k-Clubs} on the river was checked through and Ruida shook his head, flashed the {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a bluff which Uguccioni had beat with {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for nines and deuces.

Ivgi Back on Track

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kfir Ivgi and Tom-Aksel Bedell
Kfir Ivgi and Tom-Aksel Bedell

Kfir Ivgi was on a losing run for most of the day and had dropped to around 50,000, but has since won a lot chips back. He then clashed with Javier Conde and raised to 25,000. Conde squeezed to 39,000 and received an instant call from Ivgi, who said "just put it all in, I call."

That was before the flop brought {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}, on which Conde pushed for around 65,000. Within one second, Ivgi had tossed in a chip for the call.

Javier Conde: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Kfir Ivgi: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

The {8-Clubs} turn gave Ivgi trips and the {k-Diamonds} river failed to improve Conde, further improving Ivgi to a full house.

Prieto Busts in Unfortunate fashion

Level 15 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

As one of the shorter stacks still in contention, Gonzalo Prieto clashed with Manuel Payno and his {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flopped best against the {a-Hearts}{5-Spades} of Payno. However, the {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{j-Spades}{2-Spades} run out brought max pain with the four card flush.
