Algarra Pays One Off
Level 8
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Heads-up on a board of J♦Q♣5♦8♠, a player in middle position bet 8,500 and David Algarra called in the big blind.
The river came the 4♥ and Algarra checked again. His opponent then bet 11,000 and Algarra gave it some thought before calling.
His opponent turned over Q♠J♣ for two pair and Algarra nodded his head before surrendering the pot.
At the same time at another table, Sebastian Ionita busted Valentin Cristea with 10♣9♣ against A♦5♥ on a board of 6♦7♥4♦10♠K♣, hitting a pair of tens on the turn.
