On the first hand back from break, Dan Maunders raised to 2,500 in the cutoff before Jack Sambrook shoved all in for 18,000 in the big blind. Maunders took his time before calling.

Khuu Raises Barnes on the River

Heads-up on a board of A♠K♦5♥4♠, Stephen Barnes bet 3,200 from under the gun and Chuc Khuu called in the big blind.

The river came the 6♠ and Khuu checked over to Barnes, who bet another 8,500. Khuu then slid forward a raise to 25,000 and Barnes instantly tossed his cards away.

Khatri Gets Hero-Called in Massive Pot

Level 9 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

A pile of chips amounting to more than 50,000 was already in the middle as Bhavin Khatri and an opponent went to the river on a completed board of 9♥3♠2♠7♦4♥.

Khatri then moved all in from early position, sending his opponent deep into the tank. He eventually called for his last 60,000.

"You win," Khatri said, showing A♠4♦ for a pair of fours on the river. His opponent let out a deep groan and shot up from his seat as he showed A♥3♥ for a pair of threes.

"The only hand I'm worried about," the defeated opponent said before heading off to the rail.

"I meant to check on that river but I'm trying to get 9x to fold," Khatri explained to his tablemates.

"Value bluff. Best bluff ever," Elliott Panyi said.

"That's why you always show your cards at the end," Khatri added as he moved into contention for the tournament chip lead.

Alshanti Dodges the River For Massive Double

A pot of more than 25,000 was already brewing as Abdullah Alshanti and an opponent in the hijack went heads-up to the turn on a board of Q♠6♠J♣8♥.

The cutoff then bet 22,000 and Alshanti tanked for a minute before moving all in for 52,000. His opponent then tanked for several minutes until he called to put Alshanti at risk.

Alshanti had A♥Q♥, while his opponent had a straight draw holding K♣10♠. Alshanti got up from his seat to await the river, which came the 6♦ as he slapped his hands together to celebrate his double up.

"What a player," another tablemate said as Alshanti earned a double up to move up to around 140,000.

Cherry's Stack a Little Less Ripe After Kilgour Hits the River

Three-handed on a board of 8♠Q♥7♥K♣, Jack Sambrook bet 2,400 from the hijack and was called by Alistair Kilgour in the cutoff, as well as Stephen Cherry in the big blind.

The river came the 8♥ and action checked to Kilgour, who bet 6,000. Only Cherry called and Sambrook got out of the way.

Kilgour then turned over A♥6♥ for the nut flush. "What a river," Cherry said as he mucked.

Barnes Loses an All In, Wins Another

Stephen Barnes and Constantin Erhan were heads-up on a flop of 7♥8♦10♣ when Erhan got his last 16,000 in the middle from the hijack. Barnes had him at risk from early position.

Barnes was ahead with top pair, but Erhan spiked the A♠ on the turn to make two pair. The river came the 8♣ and Erhan improved to a full house to double up.

Barnes got those chips back a few hands later. A player in early position bet 2,500 on a flop of 3♥J♦3♣ and Khaqaan Raja called in the small blind, as did Barnes in the big blind.

The turn came the K♥ and the early-position player bet another 5,900. Raja then moved all in for 15,100 and Barnes called, while their other opponent folded.

Raja had K♣J♥ for two pair, but Barnes showed 4♠3♦ for trip threes. The river was the 10♠ and Barnes sent Raja to the rail.

Crawford Raises Big on the River

Three-handed on a flop of 5♦Q♠6♥, Anthony Toole bet 2,000 from early position and Alexander Crawford called on the button, as did big blind Abdullah Alshanti.

All three players checked the 6♦ turn before Toole fired out another 3,000 on the J♣ river. Crawford then raised to 15,000.

Alshanti quickly mucked, but Toole went deep into the tank for more than two minutes until he called. Crawford then showed J♦J♥ for the rivered full house and Toole mucked.
