A player in the cutoff bet 2,500 on a board of 9♦5♥6♠Q♠ and Owen Dodd called in the big blind.
The river came the K♦ and Dodd then led out for 4,500. His opponent quickly mucked.
The next hand, Oliver Prior, who had reentered after busting earlier, raised to 300 in the hijack and Dodd three-bet to 1,100.
Prior called and the flop came J♥7♠5♠. Both players checked to the J♣ turn, where Dodd bet another 1,300. Prior called and the Q♥ river was checked down.
Dodd showed A♠K♥, but Prior had 5♦4♦ for two pair to win the pot.
More than 10,000 was already in the middle as four players, including Dan Maunders in the small blind, Carl Spencer under the gun, and Nicholas Fellone in middle position, went to the flop of 8♣Q♣10♥.
Spencer then bet 4,000 and Maunders as well as a player in middle position called to the 3♥ river, while Fellone folded. Spencer then moved all in for around 21,000.
Both of his opponents quickly mucked and Spencer took the pot without a showdown.
888poker Ambassador Vivian Saliba recently took her seat in the event, as did Florian Duta.
Florian Duta raised to 300 on the button and the small blind then three-bet to 1,200. Duta called and they went heads-up to the 10♣2♦6♣ flop.
Both players checked as the 4♥ fell on the turn. Duta then bet 1,500 and the small blind called. The river was the 8♣ and action checked to Duta again.
He checked back and showed 6♥5♥ for a pair of sixes that were good enough to win the pot.
A pot of around 20,000 was already in the middle as Jamie Walden and an opponent in early position went to the river on a completed board of 5♦7♠9♣Q♣6♠.
Walden, on the button, then moved all in for 21,100 and sent his opponent deep into the tank. He considered the decision for several minutes before another tablemate called the clock.
The countdown had nearly reached zero before Walden's opponent slid his cards into the muck. "Six-seven, right," another tablemate said to Walden, who remained silent as he took the pot.
Niall Farrell, Yiannis Liperis, and Daniel Laidlaw are among the recent entries into Day 1b.
Three-handed on a flop of 8♥7♦8♠, Vivian Saliba bet 400 from the hijack and Sheng Zheng called in the cutoff, as did a player in the big blind.
The turn came the 3♥ and Saliba bet another 1,000, Zheng then raised to 3,000 and the big blind got out of the way. Saliba also folded as Zheng took the pot.
The next hand, Zheng raised to 500 before Majid Iqbal three-bet to 2,200 in the cutoff. Sheng called as the flop came J♣9♣3♥.
Iqbal continued for 2,500 and Zheng called. Both players checked the 10♥ turn.
The 2♥ river was also checked through and Zheng showed K♦Q♥ for the turned straight as Iqbal angrily flung his cards into the muck.
Leo Worthington-Leese and WSOP finalist Dean Hutchison are also seated at this table.
Terry Jordon took a break from managing his massive stack to tend to his other stack in the high roller event. He returned after nearly an entire level to find he had been moved and had to ask the tournament director where his new seat was.
As soon as he sat down, he went to the turn on a board of 5♣10♦Q♦J♥ as he and his opponent checked to the 9♦ river.
Jordon then pushed forward a bet of 10,000 and his opponent quickly called. Jordon showed J♦2♦ for the rivered flush, while his opponent had K♦J♠ before mucking.
