It was another intense day of poker action at the Casino Gran Via for Day 2 of the 888poker LIVE Madrid Main Event.

After the final starting flight had finished earlier in the day, the field had reached a total of 514 players. By the end of eleven levels, not only had the bubble burst but just 39 players remain.

The chip leader heading into the final day appears to be Nicolae Suciu who moved above two million shortly before the bubble burst, and more than doubled it before the end of play and will be in a strong position to reach the final table on Day 3.

Gorbacs Gets There...Or Does He?

Level 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Action was on the turn of {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Diamonds} with 500,000 in the middle already. Tom Orpaz had moved all in for 850,000 with opponent Maksims Gorbacs having a pot-sized bet behind.

Gorbacs burned through at least two time banks before calling.

Maksims Gorbacs: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Tom Orpaz: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

The river {10-Diamonds} gave Gorbacs a better two pair, and Orpaz slammed the table in displeasure. However, his tablemates pointed out that he had rivered a flush and that was good enough to send Orpaz to the rail.

"Sorry, sorry!" said Orpaz. "I didn't even see the flush!"

All-In Player: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Antonio Vecino: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}

Vecino held aces and held on the {6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} board to send his opponent to the rail and move above two million in chips.
