Barnes Rockets Up the Leaderboard With Classic Cooler

Level 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Around 30,000 was in the pot as Stephen Barnes and David Hudson went to the turn on a board of 2108J. Hudson then bet 25,000 from the big blind, Barnes moved all in for 101,000 in middle position, and Hudson snap-called.

Hudson turned over 22 for a flopped set, but Barnes showed him the bad news when he revealed JJ for a turned set. The river was the 4 and the 888poker Live Manchester champion raked in the massive double up, leaving Hudson with just one 100 chip behind.

Manuel Ledesma

Manuel Ledesma raised to 4,500 under the gun and was called by Bryan Taylor in the hijack and Iason Filippidis in the cutoff. "FK" then moved all in for 30,000 and Ledesma shoved forward a tower of red 5,000 chips, enough to put his other two opponents all in. Taylor tanked for a minute before folding, while Filippidis quickly got out of the way.

"FK": 76 All in
Manuel Ledesma: AJ

Ledesma had to fade a straight draw going to the river as the board came QQ34, while the 9 fell on the river and Ledesma's ace-high stayed in the lead to earn last year's 888poker Live Madrid champion the knockout

Liam Johnston

John Clements had just reentered when he got his stack in the middle again from early position, this time against Liam Johnston who barely had Clements' 30,000 covered in the big blind.

John Clements: 88 All in
Liam Johnston: 1010

Johnston had Clements dominated and Clements found no help on the 3AK9Q board to hit the rail for the second time in a few minutes.

"C'est la vie," he said on his way to the exit.
