Meli Flops the Joint to Bust Huntly, McInally Gets Away
Level 11
: Blinds 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Gordon Huntly was already all in from under the gun as Vincent Meli and Gerald McInally went to the Q♣9♥10♣ flop with around 10,000 in the middle.
Meli then bet 13,000 from the big blind and McInally called in the hijack. The turn was the 6♥ and Meli moved all in for 20,400. McInally took a minute before folding as Meli and Huntly turned over their cards.
Huntly showed 7♦6♣, but he was already drawing dead as Meli had flopped a straight with K♦J♦. The 6♦ river only gave Huntly no-good trips and he headed to the rail.
McInally admitted after the hand he folded ten-nine. "Needed a ten or a nine on the turn," he said.
At the same table, Paul Vas Nunes had built up a stack of around 160,000.
