Banda Coolers Neofitov For a Double

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

With around 50,000 in the pot on a board of 108QK, Alex Neofitov bet 33,000 from the hijack before Fernando Banda moved all in for 78,000 in the big blind.

"There's one hand that beats me. F**k," Neofitov said as he went deep into the tank, taking several minutes to mutter to himself. "I have to call," he eventually said, putting Banda at risk.

He showed 88 for a set, but Banda had J9 for a straight. Neofitov needed the board to pair on the river, but he missed the 4 and Banda doubled up.

Macedro Holds to Bust Chan

Level 15 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Kwan Chan bet 28,000 from the hijack on a flop of 6109 before Miguel Macedro moved all in from middle position. Chan took a minute and eventually called for his last 85,000.

Kwan Chan: AQ All in
Miguel Macedro: 33

Macedro was ahead with his threes, and the J turn and 5 river were no help to Chan as Macedro slammed the table in celebration after scoring the knockout.

At the same table, Erik Friberg has climbed up to around 450,000.

McConachie Falls in Four-Way All In

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

"Pocket jacks all in four ways," David McConachie said as he stood by the table while Agi Stylianou and Jonatan Beltran built a side pot of around 50,000 on a board of 10A10A4.

"Let's hope they both have diamonds," McConachie said as Beltran bet 50,000 from middle position. Stylianou folded in the big blind, and Beltran showed AQ for a full house. McConachie's JJ were mucked.

Pau Veciana, who defeated McConachie heads-up in the 888poker Barcelona Main Event last year, is also seated at this table.

Sanchez Wins a Massive Flip

Level 14 : Blinds 1,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Jacobo Nieder three-bet to 17,000 on the button before Jose Maria Sanchez four-bet to 42,000 in the cutoff. Nieder then moved all in, and Sanchez called for 200,000.

Jose Maria Sanchez: QQ All in
Jacobo Nieder: AK

It was a classic flip with 400,000 at stake, and the flop came J109 to give Nieder more outs to a straight. The turn was the 9, while the Q fell on the river. Sanchez reacted as if he had lost the pot as Nieder hit his straight before realizing he had improved to a full house, earning him the massive double up that put him among the chip leaders.
