Nunez Spikes a Four to Stay Alive

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The action folded to Ramon Nunez on the button who ripped his last 41,500 chips into the middle. Pablo Garcia Alba was in the small blind with a heap of chips and re-shoved all in to put Nunez at risk.

Ramon Nunez: {k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Pablo Garcia Alba: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Garcia Alba was in a dominating position and the flop of {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades} left it that way. However, the {4-Hearts} on the turn put Nunez out front with a pair of fours. The {6-Hearts} on the river changed nothing and Nunez managed to stay alive.

Ramos and Garcia Both Show an Ace

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Daniel Ramos opened to 7,500 in early position and was called by Dani Garcia on the button. The dealer spread the flop of {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Ramos continued with a bet of 7,500 which Garcia called.

The {4-Diamonds} paired the board on the turn and Ramos fired out another bet of 16,500. It made Garcia contemplate his decision and he eventually folded, showing the {a-Hearts} in the process. Ramos responded by showing the {a-Clubs} as he pushed the pot.

Enriquez Doubles Ponciano, Busts Next Hand

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ian Simpson raised to 8,000 on the button and Paulo Ponciano shoved all in for 74,000 in the small blind. Steve Enriquez also shoved all in from the big blind which got a quick fold from Simpson.

Paulo Ponciano: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Steve Enriquez: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It was a coin flip and the board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} as Ponciano held on for a key double-up.

On the next hand, Enriquez got the last of his chips in the middle with {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and was called by his opponent with {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. A deuce on the turn spelled the end to the tournament for Enriquez who headed for the exit.

Moura Turns His Rough Start Around

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Caue Moura
Caue Moura

It was a rough start to Day 2 for Caue Moura who spent the first couple of hours on the feature table being live-streamed at the 888poker channel on Twitch. However, after moving to an outer table, Moura spent little time jumping into the action with a raise to 10,000 in middle position. The big blind called and they went heads-up to a flop of {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}.

Both players checked through to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn and the {5-Diamonds} on the river. Moura finally flicked in a bet of 10,000 and his opponent check-raised to 40,000. Moura quickly called and his opponent tabled {10-Spades}{6-Spades} for complete air. Moura flipped over {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a flopped full house and dragged in the pot.

Nunez Can't Come from Behind This Time

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ramon Nunez was back down to around 65,000 chips after recently doubling up in the past level. He shipped all in again from middle position and this time was called by David Miguera in the big blind.

Ramon Nunez: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
David Miguera: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

It was going to be a tough ask for Nunez to come from behind again and the flop of {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} provided no help. The {j-Diamonds} on the turn left Nunez drawing dead to the {6-Clubs} on the river.
