888poker XL Eclipse Series Day 8: Finland's "dmg34" Wins the $50,000 PKO 8-Max
On Thursday, it was time for the eighth day of the 888poker XL Eclipse Series. And again, there were three new tournaments on the schedule. Let's take a look at the events that played out on Sept. 19, 2019.
888poker XL Eclipse #23: $50,000 PKO 8-Max

At 20:00 GMT, the XL Eclipse #23: $50,000 PKO 8-Max kicked off. After late registration closed, there were 468 registered players resulting in a total prize pool of $70,200 with $6,757 reserved for the winner plus their bounties.
There were some technical problems with the bounty payouts structure for all PKO events on Day 8. That resulted in all bounties being accumulated and going to first-place. 888poker has indicated that they will fix it in the next few days and players will receive their intended prizes including bounties. Players who experienced problems or have additional questions can contact the 888poker support. In the tables below, we list the prizes without bounties.
More than eight hours were played before they crowned a champion.
Eight players made the final table, securing themselves of $790. "Vomani" (eighth, $790), "RaiseOnceAli" (seventh, $965), "opapro" (sixth, $1,316), "casual_win" (fifth, $1,843) were eliminated in quick succession. After that, "ilcinnnnn" (fourth, $2,720) and "sasasa137" (third, $3,773) missed out on the final heads-up.
The runner-up of this event received $5,002. In the end, "nutcracker95" missed out on the victory and Finland's "dmg34" secured him- or herself of $6,757 plus the biggest bounty of them all!

For the players who didn't have the bankroll to compete in the $160 event, or wanted to multi-table, there was also a Mini edition with a buy-in of just $22. In total, 1,389 players competed in this event which made for a $27,980 prize pool with the first prize just over $2,579 and $13,990 in the bounty prize pool.
In the end, "Nilly95" (fourth, $1,049) and "Edikas07" (third, $1,399) were eliminated from the final table. "RiLucas" lost the final heads-up and ended in second place for $1,819. The tournament was won by "mateuszek115," and they received $2,579 plus the final KO.

The late edition of the Knockout 8-Max saw a field of 533 compete for a share of the $26,650 prize pool.
"Roma3Pari" took the top spot and the biggest prize. The Russian player won $2,532 and the final bounty. Runner-up "RoseGambit" received $1,866 for their deep run while third-place finisher "weh_chr" got $1,399.
