On the third day of the 888poker XL Blizzard Series, three new tournaments were scheduled. Most of the attention went out to the $30,000 8-Max, where there were 380 players competing for the first prize of $7,410. Let's take a look at this tournament and the results of the other events that played out on Saturday.

At 1920:00 GMT, the XL Blizzard #7 - $30,000 8-Max kicked off. After late registration closed, there were 283 registered players. With a total of 97 rebuys, that made for a total of 380 entries, resulting in a total prize pool of $38,000 with $7,410 reserved for the winner. More than eight hours were played before they crowned a champion.
Eight players made the final table, securing themselves of $950. "GrindYourMum" (eighth, $950), "HATE007" (seventh, $1,140), "Bazzurk888" (sixth, $1,520), "_Antikk_" (fifth, $2,090) were eliminated in quick succession. After that, "kinsQ" (fourth, $3,040) and "Yakawin123" (third, $4,180) missed out on the final heads-up.
Swedish "Werniiie" battled against Finland's "tikkapekka" and in the end, the latter mentioned defeated his opponent to be crowned as the winner. The Finnish player received the first prize of $7,410, while the runner-up had to settle for $5,510.

For the players who couldn't afford the biggest buy-in ($109) of the day, there was a Mini edition of the 8-Max on the schedule. This tournament had a buy-in of $8.80 and there were 1,759 players competing for a prize pool of $14,072. Every finalist in this tournament would secure him- or herself of $141 but all eyes were on the top prize of $2,532.
That top prize went to nobody as there was a four-way deal. The winner, United Kingdom's "dumitrana1", received $2,187 after beating "bunder17" from Sweden in heads-up. The Swedish runner-up received $1,714.

Another winner was crowned in the XL Blizzard #9 - $15,000 Late 8-Max. This event was played by 336 players to create a prize pool of $18,300. In the end, it was United Kingdom's "fannymobile" who won the event for $3,569 after making a heads-up deal with runner-up "Slapnutz123" who finished in second place for $2,654.
