Ante Up Poker Podcast

The Ante Up Poker Podcast is Ante Up Magazine's award-winning weekly Internet audio show with Scott Long and Chris Cosenza.

The show mixes humor, commentary, and strategy, with great segments such as O’Mally’s Move, Listener Spotlight and Hand of the Week.

It’s the longest continually running pokercast on the planet, never missing a week since June 15, 2005. Download a new episode every Friday! Click here for episodes.

Also, if you want to get started a great episode to do so is this one where Scott went to the Deep Stack Charity Classic at the Isle in South Florida, a clerical error takes away the WSOP POY title from Daniel Negreanu and the AUPT event here at Wild Horse Pass in Arizona is underway. We also complete an O’Mally’s Move and Matt Hayward has the Hand of the Week.

Scott Doubles Through Stember

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jeffrey Stember bet 3,600 from the big bling on a {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board, and Thomas Scott made the call from middle position.

The turn came {5-Hearts}, Stember bet 10,000, and Scott called. Both players turned their cards over, thinking that the turn bet put Scott all in. Scott actually had 2,000 remaining behind, which the floor ruled would go in on the river.

Thomas Scott: {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Jeffrey Stember:{k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

That river came {4-Clubs}, and Scott's fives full of sevens was the winning hand.

Brant Gets River Value

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With about 8,000 already in the pot, Lawrence Brant put out a pot-sized bet from the small blind, betting 8,000 on the river of a {8-Hearts}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Diamonds} board.

Cheri Silard thought it over for several moments before making the call, and Brant turned over {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}, good enough to take down the big pot.

Tornero Takes One Down

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Nathan Tornero, Anthony Raimondi and a player in the big blind went three ways to a {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Clubs} flop. All three players checked.

The {3-Diamonds} came in on the turn, and action checked to Tornero, under the gun. Tornero bet 600, Raimondi called from the hijack, and the big blind folded.

The river came {4-Clubs}, both players checked, and Tornero showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to get the best of Raimondi's {a-}{q-}.

Set of Queens is Good for Greco

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Four players went to a flop of {2-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}, and action checked to Carl Dichter in early position, Dichter bet 2,000, the cutoff folded, and Michael Greco raised to 6,000 from the button. The small blind folded, and Dichter called.

Both remaining players checked the {k-Clubs} turn. Dichter bet 2,000 on the {7-Diamonds} river, and Greco called. Dichter turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}, but it was no good against Greco's {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}.
