Foster Snaps Off Lupo's Bluff

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

With the board showing {j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, Evan Lupo put in a bet for 10,000 from early position.

Grant Foster went into the tank for awhile before finally making the call. Lupo winced as the call went in, flinging his {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds} into the middle of the table. Foster, slowly and one card at a time, turned over {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}, good for top pair.

Brady Busts Out on Bullet Two

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 10,000 ante
Mike Brady
Mike Brady

Mike Brady is done for the day after firing two bullets, and busting out on the second bullet right before the second break.

Brady told PokerNews that a button opponent opened to 3,000 on the button, and Brady went all-in for his last 16,500 from the small blind. The button made the call.

Mike Brady: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Button: {4-}{4-}

Board: {j-}{j-}{7-}{5-}{q-}

The coin flip went the way of the button, sending Brady to the rail.

The $550 Main Event at Jamul Casino may be the capstone tournament of the Ante Up Poker Tour stop, but it isn’t the only event that’s taken place. There have been a slew of side tournaments, and we thought we’d take a quick look at each.

For instance, in the Ante Up Sweetwater Series Event #3: $100 NLH 8-Max, 101 entrants took to the felt and created a $8,080 prize pool. That was paid to the top 13 players, and among those to cash without making the final table were Tavish Margers (10th - $225), Aaron Knapp (11th - $205), Andrew Mittman (12th - $205), and Joshua Neil (13th - $205).

The tournament ended in a seven-way deal that saw six players lock up $876 apiece, while the overwhelming chip leader, Timothy Bresien, took the title and $1,510 in prize money.
