No Flops, No Deal Yet

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

The players have been discussing a deal while continuing to play for the last few orbits. There hasn't been much action during this time, with barely a flop seen.

Huntly Taking The Lead

Gordon Huntly has been chipping away for the last few hands. First he took a nice little pot off O'Rourke when he hit trips on the river. He then three-bet preflop holding {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} when Stewart Ballard put in an open. The whole table got out of the way and Huntly took down another pot to move toward 3,000,000 in chips.

Slow, Slow, Slow

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

The last five hands have seen no flops dealt. During that time, Liam O'Rourke took down the blinds and antes twice and Gordon Huntly took them down twice. Play has really slowed down here since the clock ticked past midnight.

Ballard Falls As Aston Is On The Up

Folded to Anthony Aston on the button, he raised it up to 130,000. Stewart Ballard made the call in the big blind and a {9-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} flop was dealt. Ballard opted to check here and Aston bet out 250,000. Ballard made the call and the {10-Spades} was dealt on the turn. This time when Ballard checked, Aston bet out 375,000. It was too much for Ballard as he sent his cards flying into the muck.

Final Four Chip Update

It's still going very slow here at the 2012 ANZPT Sydney Main Event. There hasn't been any big hands since the break almost an hour ago. Gordon Huntly has slowly chipped away at the table, taking the chip lead without playing a big pot. Its not the same story for Stewart Ballard as his once large stack has faltered of late. Liam O'Rourke is still going strong, while Anthony Aston is very healthy.

Ballard Turns Set

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Stewart Ballard opened up the action to 130,000 from under the gun and received calls from Gordon Huntly on the button and Liam O'Rourke in the big blind.

Flop: {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

On the flop, O'Rourke checked and Ballard bet 175,000. Huntly made the call and O'Rourke got out of the way as the {4-Clubs} hit the river. Again Ballard checked and Huntly did the same.

When Ballard turned over his {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}, the set was enough to take down the hand little pot.

Aston Takes Hit

We caught the action in a hand between Gordon Huntly and Anthony Aston on the turn with a board showing {k-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Huntly was set to act and opted to check. Aston led out for 230,000 and Huntly made the call as a {7-Clubs} hit the river. This time Huntly would lead, throwing out 500,000. It was enough to get Aston out of the hand as Huntly raked in the pot.
