Could There Be a New Chip Leader?

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Some major carnage to end the day as Kent Hunter has stormed into chip leader calculations after a massive three-way all-in clash.

It started with the short-stacked Melanie Weisner moving all in. John Dichiera re-raised before Kent Hunter cold four-bet to 50,000. Action folded back to Dichiera who declared himself all in, covering his opponent. Hunter thought for a bit before committing his last chips.

Weisner: {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Dichiera: {A-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Hunter: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

Dichiera had got a tad aggressive with his ace-jack as Hunter put his faith in the ladies. The flop was {6-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Weisner sprung to life as she started calling for a nine. The {5-Spades} turn was another good card for Weisner as she was now open-ended for a triple up. But the river bricked the {2-Spades} to see Weisner out, Dichiera severely dented, as Hunter takes over the chip lead with a stack close to 300,000.

Stay tuned to find out if Hunter ends up as the chip leader!
