Once More Unto the Breach

Edward Sabat is hoping to ride his chip stack to the final table
Edward Sabat is hoping to ride his chip stack to the final table
Welcome back to the Grand Waldo Hotel and Casino in exotic Macau for Day 3 of the 2008 PokerStars.net APPT Macau Main Event. It was a vicious slog through seven levels of play yesterday, with poker players eliminated left and right at a staccato pace through the first four levels of play.

By the time Day 2 ended, the money bubble had burst and 39 of the 208 players who started the day remained standing. At their head with a very narrow chip lead is Edward Sabat, an American player from California who has two WSOP Circuit final tables to his credit along with two cashes at the 2008 WSOP. He is closely chased by Charles Chua, Keith Wintermans, Javed Abrahams and David Steicke, who yesterday made one of the most amazing calls anyone in media row could ever remember seeing.
