PokerStars is like the P. Diddy of party throwers in the poker world and they've gone and done it again here at the APPT Sydney Grand Final. Lynn Gilmartin and co. were on hand to capture some of the night's finer moments. Check it out below:
Brendon Rubie is up to 38,000 early after winning a pot against a fellow Brendan.
Brendan Edmonds opened the pot with a raise to 550 from under-the-gun and action moved to Rubie who three-bet to 1,550. Edmonds made the call and saw the flop come .
Edmonds then checked to Rubie who fired a continuation bet of 2,000. Edmonds followed up with a check-raise, kicking it up to 6,000. Not intimidated, Rubie reraised, making it 16,000 to go and Edmonds decided to throw in the towel.
Rubie candidly flashed the to his defeated opponent as he raked in the pot.
Paren Arzoomanian has been steadily involved at his table. He's been playing almost every pot and making moves to win them all. Recently, he's forced Simon Watt to fold the winning hand a few times, showing a bluff each time. His chips stack is right around the starting stack, but has been swinging up and down regularly.
Kristian "BadaBing" Lunardi raised from middle position to 300. The player on the button called and Julius Coleman called as well from the big blind. The flop came down .
Coleman checked, Lunardi fired 400 and the button folded. Coleman made the call.
The turn was the and Coleman checked. Lunardi fired 1,300 and Coleman folded. Lunardi is up to 27,000 after dropping early. Coleman is on 38,000.
Catching up with the action on the flop, the board read between Paren Arzoomanian and one other player acting with the button placed directly in front of his cards. Arzoomanian checked and the button player fired 600. Arzoomanian made the call.
The turn was the and Arzoomanian check-called 1,200 this time.
The river was the and Arzoomanian checked once more. His opponent fired 2,600 and Arzoomanian folded, slipping to 25,000.

It was a limped pot at table 21 before Jim Pizanias min-raised to 400 from the small blind. Brendon Rubie called from the big blind and the under the gun limper, Joesph Moussa called as well.
The flop was and Moussa led out for 2,600. Pizanias folded, and Rubie put in a raise to 6,500. Moussa would not be deterred, quickly throwing in another raise to 26,000 prompting a rather immediate all-in declaration from Rubie, who slid in his chips to the center of the table. It was 13,000 for Moussa to call and he counted out his chips before finally making the call.
Rubie flipped over for the flopped nuts, and Moussa turned over for the second best hand. The turn, and the river were no help to Moussa and the pot was awarded to Rubie.
Brendon Rubie chipped up to 80,000 on the hand, and Moussa was left with about 10,000.
Emanuel "Curly" Seal limped, the cutoff limped and then Paren Arzoomanian raised to 900 from the button. Seal folded, but the cutoff seat called. The flop was and both players checked.
The turn brought the and the cutoff checked. Arzoomanian fired 1,200 and his opponent called again.
The river was the and both players checked. The cutoff seat showed and Arzoomanian mucked.
Tino Lechich raised to 525 from middle position and the button called. Julius Coleman called from the small blind and Jay "SEATBEAST" Kinkade called from the big blind as well.
The flop was a very draw-heavy and everyone checked.
The turn brought the and Coleman fired 1,600. Kinkade folded as did Lechich. The button then raised to 3,500 and Coleman folded, showing that he was folding the .
