Jeffreys Doubles Conley

PokerStars online qualifier Clint Conley raised to 525 from the cutoff seat before Andrew "Adgee" Jeffreys reraised to 2,525. Action folded back over to Conley and he mulled over his decision for some time before eventually moving all in for 5,275 total. Jeffreys made the call.

Conley: {A-Hearts} {J-Spades}
Jeffreys: {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts}

The flop prompted Conley to stand from his chair when he saw the {Q-Spades} {9-Spades} and {2-Clubs} fall, adding a straight draw for Jeffreys. The turn was the {4-Hearts} and the river the {J-Clubs} keeping him alive.

Jeffreys dropped to 39,000 chips.

James Broom
On the flop of {K-Clubs} {7-Spades} {3-Clubs}, James Broom fired 3,150 into a pot of approximately 5,500. His opponent raised to 7,025 and Broom folded. The player that raised Broom showed him that he did so with {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Broom is down to 12,000 now.

Lazarevic Says Lets Flip

Martin Lazarevic limped under the gun and action was raised by an unknown player on the button. Kenneth Terrell flat-called in the small blind. Lazarevic three-bet to 5,000, the button folded and Terrell moved all in. Lazarevic quickly called, his total stack of about 17,000, and the cards were revealed:

Kenneth Terrell: {Q-?} {Q-?}
Martin Lazarevic: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}

The board rolled out {10-Clubs} {9-Spades} {A-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} and Martin Lazarevic doubles up to 34,000. Terrell on the other hand was left short stacked with about 6,000.

Fazzino Flys to 80k

PokerStars qualifier Sal Fazzino just took down a monster pot from Todor Kondevski to move to 80,000 in chips, earning, for now anyway, the top spot on the leaderboard.

On a board showing {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Fazzino fired a 15,000 bet and Kondevski made the call holding {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, only to see Fazzino turn over {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the second nut flush.

After the hand, Kondevski was left with right around 30,000 in chips.

Delaney Picks Off Hachem

Tony Hachem bet 2,200 with a board of {K-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} {8-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} in the middle of the table. Ben Delaney was his only opponent and he made the call.

The river was the {7-Hearts} and Hachem fired 6,000. Delaney called almost immediately.

"I missed." announced Hachem, holding his hand face down. Delaney then tabled {K-Hearts} {J-Clubs} and Hachem mucked.

Hachem is down to 31,325 while Delaney moved up to 45,200.

"The only way I can win that hand is to bet." said Hachem looking back a few minutes later.

Eastgate Eliminated

Peter Eastgate
Peter Eastgate
2008 WSOP Main Event champ and Team PokerStars Pro Peter Eastgate has just been eliminated from the tournament by PokerStars qualifier Carlos Chang.

Long story short, Eastgate check-called bets from Chang on every street, including a 5th Street all-in bet, as the board filled out {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{7-?}{5-?}.

At the showdown, Chang revealed that he'd flopped the nuts, tabling the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Eastgate never showed his cards.

Emad Tahtouh Slipping

We caught the action on the river, with a board of {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs} and Emad Tahtouh, in the small blind, contemplating a 5,500 call with about 7,000 in the pot. He eventually tossed in the chips and his opponent flipped over the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Tahtouh mucked, and is left with about 8,000 in chips.

Lee Doubles Through Khalil

Dave Lee
Dave Lee
Dave Lee just doubled up through Ali Khalil. The board read {A-Spades} {Q-Spades} {2-Spades} {9-Diamonds} and Lee's hand was turned face up in front of him -- {K-Spades} {10-Spades}. The river card had yet to be dealt and there was some commotion at the table.

What had happened was Khalil moved all in on the turn and Lee called with the nut flush. Khalil saw he was drawing dead and flung his hand into the muck. Some players at the table requested that the river card be dealt anyway, but the dealer refused to do so, claiming it was not needed. Another player tried to retrieve Khalil's hand from the muck wanting a showdown, but the dealer stopped that as well. The floor was called and it was ruled that Khalil's hand wouldn't be revealed, staying in the muck. The river card was then dealt out and the {2-Hearts} officially completed the board.

Lee doubled to 21,000 on the hand, but not without hearing it from Khalil. Khalil berated him for calling a three-bet preflop with {K-Spades} {10-Spades} after having only 10,000 to begin to hand. It was gathered that Lee raised from the button and Khalil three-bet him from the small blind preflop. Khalil claimed to have ace-king.
