Chan Busts Kober

Jeffrey Lipman opened the pot with a raise to 3,000 from middle position and then Philip Kober was next to act. He moved all in for 12,800 before action folded around to Terrence Chan on the button. Chan reraised to 22,800, sending the small blind Mark Iskander into the tank for a few minutes.

"This is the hand that got me in trouble yesterday. I would have come into today with 90k if it wasn't for this hand." commented Iskander. Eventually, he would fold.

The big blind folded and then Lipman folded as well, leaving the at-risk Kober and Chan heads up. Kober tabled {A-Hearts} {J-Hearts} against Chan's two kings -- {K-Hearts} {K-Spades}. Iskander mentioned that he mucked two queens.

"Yeah, you had to have queens." mentioned Chan.

The board ran out {10-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {2-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} to give Chan the pot and send Kober to the rail. Iskander smacked the table knowing he would have hit a set of queens to win the hand as Chan moved up to just under 100,000 chips.

"Queens are an easy fold." mentioned Sam Youssef from one end of the table.
