Brendon Rubie opened to 20,000 from under the gun only to have Ali Khalil move all in from the cutoff for roughly 140,000. Rubie instantly made the call to put one of his good friends at risk.

Not surprisingly it would be a cooler that would potentially result in the bubble, and when the flop fell, Khalil seemed resounded to his fate of exiting just one place shy of the money.
The on the turn changed little, and after the
landed on the river, Khalil was forced to exit the tournament in 33rd place - that precious spot that hurts so much!

Day 2 here at the 2010 PokerStars.net APPT Sydney Grand Final has come to a close. When it was all said and done, only 32 remained and they're all in the money. Everyone left is guaranteed A$12,145, but they're all looking to capture that A$459,510 first-place prize.
We've got some big contenders still in the field. Young superstars Brendon Rubie (690,500) and Jonathan Karamalikis (733,500) will be joined on Day 3 by Team PokerStars.net Pro Daniel Negreanu (293,500) and Roland de Wolfe (715,500). There's also a few champions left in the field as well with 2010 Aussie Millions champion Tyron Krost (94,500), 2007 APPT Sydney Grand Final champion Grant Levy (81,500) and 2008 APPT Macau champion Eddy Sabat (60,000).
Topping them all though is Reza Vakili with 775,000. He'll be the man to catch tomorrow for the day when the players will play down to a final table.
