We've got some big contenders still in the field. Young superstars Brendon Rubie (690,500) and Jonathan Karamalikis (733,500) will be joined on Day 3 by Team PokerStars.net Pro Daniel Negreanu (293,500) and Roland de Wolfe (715,500). There's also a few champions left in the field as well with 2010 Aussie Millions champion Tyron Krost (94,500), 2007 APPT Sydney Grand Final champion Grant Levy (81,500) and 2008 APPT Macau champion Eddy Sabat (60,000).

Ali Khalil Bubbles!

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Ali Khalil bubbles!
Ali Khalil bubbles!

Brendon Rubie opened to 20,000 from under the gun only to have Ali Khalil move all in from the cutoff for roughly 140,000. Rubie instantly made the call to put one of his good friends at risk.

Khalil: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Rubie: {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}

Not surprisingly it would be a cooler that would potentially result in the bubble, and when the {J-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop fell, Khalil seemed resounded to his fate of exiting just one place shy of the money.

The {6-Spades} on the turn changed little, and after the {A-Clubs} landed on the river, Khalil was forced to exit the tournament in 33rd place - that precious spot that hurts so much!

Hand For Hand

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Tournament Director Jason Wicks has just announced that play will be hand-for-hand until we reach the money!

Toni Bubbles the Bubble

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Action folded to Ben Toni in the small blind and he shipped it against Brendor Rubie's big blind. Rubie made the call with {A-}{8-} and was up against {K-}{Q-} for the at-risk Toni.

The board ran out {10-}{4-}{4-}{6-}{J-} and Toni hit the rail in 34th place. The remaining 33 players are now officially on the bubble.

Negreanu Loses a Couple Battles While in the Blinds

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Peco Stojanovski raised to 17,000 after action folded around to him in the small blind. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu called from the big blind and the flop came down {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}. Both players checked to see the {Q-Clubs} fall on the turn. Both checked again and the {4-Diamonds} fell on the river. Both checked again and it was Stojanovski's {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} beating Negreanu's {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}.

On the next hand, Negreanu limped in from the small blind and Jarred Graham checked his option in the big blind. The flop came down {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Negreanu bet 6,000. Graham made the call.

The turn was the {K-Spades} and Negreanu fired 18,000. Graham made the call once again before the dealer put the {7-Hearts} out on the river. Negreanu checked and Graham fired 28,000. Negreanu folded and gave up this one as well.

After losing those two blind battles, Negreanu dropped to 300,000.

Not Just Any Flush for Streifeneder

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Stefan Streifeneder limped in from the small blind only to have Jonathan Karamalikis bump it to 12,000.

Streifeneder made the call before check-calling 16,000 on the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} flop as the {5-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Streifeneder then took the lead by firing out 13,000 with Karamalikis making the call as the river landed the {8-Clubs}. Streifeneder fired again; this time for 50,000, and Karamalikis folded.

"Do you want to see?" asked Streifeneder before tabling his {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a flopped straight flush.
