Karamalikis Spikes Two-Outer for Chip Lead

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis
Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis

Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis opened to 9,000 only to have a player on the button move all in for 115,100.

With action on Aaron Tran in the big blind, he deliberated for over three minutes before announcing a call.

Karamalikis immediately moved all in for 290,000 and Tran double-fist-pump-snap called!

Tran: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Karamalikis: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

With Tran in shape to take the chip lead, the {5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{J-Diamonds} flop kept him in the lead.

That was until the dealer dropped the {K-Hearts} on the turn to push Karamalikis soaring out to a huge advantage.

The river landed the {7-Clubs} to see Karamalikis shipped the pot to move to 725,000 as Tran was left with only 44,000 in chips.

Khalil Clips Rubie

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Brendon Rubie opened to 6,500 from the hijack only to have Ali Khalil three-bet to 16,000 from the button.

In response, Rubie made it 42,000 and Khalil smooth-called to see a {A-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop fall.

Both players committed 40,000 as the turn landed the {2-Hearts} and Rubie fired out another 40,000 with Khalil making the call.

Both players checked the river and Khalil tabled his {A-Spades}{J-Spades} to collect the pot and move to 400,000.

As Rubie slipped to 250,000, Khalil stated, "I really wanted to make it 100,000 preflop!"

Sabat Crushed by Runner-Runner

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Eddy Sabat opened to 6,200 only to have an opponent move all in for 70,600. Sabat near-instantly made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Sabat: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

As Sabat called for an eight, the window card of the {8-Diamonds} was exactly what he needed as the rest of the flop filled out {8-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

With his opponent drawing virtually dead to only runner straight and flush draws, the {5-Spades} on the turn, followed by the {6-Hearts} on the river made Sabat sick-to-the-stomach as his opponent rolled out a runner-runner straight.

With that bad beat, Sabat is now down to just 70,000 in chips.

Vakili Goes Boom!

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Aleks Brkovic raised to 6,000 and Reza Vakili put in a reraise to 21,000. Brkovic raised right back to 50,000 and Vakili made the call.

Brkovic bet 41,000 on the flop of {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Vakili made the call. This pot was already big and just got even bigger going to the turn where the {K-Diamonds} fell. Brkovic moved all in and Vakili snapped, tabling the {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}. Brkovic held the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}.

The river completed the board with the {8-Hearts} and Vakili saw his stack boom to 700,000. He's now got the chip lead in a big way. Brkovic was eliminated.

Karamalikis Runs Into Aces

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 300 ante

Jonathan "xMONSTERxDONGx" Karamalikis raised to 7,000 from under the gun. Action folded all the way around to the big blind and he reraised to 23,000. Karamalikis stuck a big stack of yellow T5,000 chips out in the middle to put the other player all in. The player snap-called with the {A-Diamonds}[Ah}. Karamalikis held the {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}.

The board ran out {J-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and Karamalikis lost the pot. His opponent was all in for 111,000 and Karamalikis was knocked back to 340,000.
