Edwards Pushing

Following a complete from Linh Tran, Luke Edwards pushed all in from the big blind to force Tran to fold.

The next hand Edwards pushed once again from out of the small blind, and once Eddie Mascadri folded from the big, Edwards collected the pot to move to roughly 50,000 in chips.

Courtenay Culled

Sam Courtenay all in . . . called . . . and then out!
Sam Courtenay all in . . . called . . . and then out!

Tom Grigg opened to 10,000 from early position only to have Sam Courtenay move all in for roughly 100,000 from the big blind.

After deliberating slightly, Grigg made the call to put the first all in player of the day at risk.

Courtenay: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Grigg: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

With a classic race deciding Courtenay's fate, the {3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop gave Grigg the nuts with top set.

The {Q-Hearts} on the turn brought about a gutshot for Courtenay, but when the {4-Hearts} landed on the river, he was forced to hit the rail as Grigg soared to 675,000 in chips.

Set for Srdjan

Tom Grigg opened to 10,000 from under the gun and Srdjan Mitrovic made the call next to act as the {6-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{Q-Clubs} flop fell.

Grigg check-called a 15,000-chip bet as the {5-Hearts} landed on the turn and Grigg again played the check-call line when Mitrovic fired out 22,000 in chips.

The river landed the {10-Clubs} and once Grigg checked, Mitrovic fired out 55,000 which the APPT Sydney final tablist called.

Mitrovic tabled his {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} for a full house as he raked in the pot to move to 320,000 while Grigg slipped to 550,000 in chips.

Nauhrai, Bertenshaw Eliminated

Akshay Nauhria exits

Akshay Nauhria moved all in for his last 39,400 from the button and Ropati Toleafoa made the call from the small blind before AJ Bertenshaw committed his last 12,900 from the big blind.

Nauhria: {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Toleafoa: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Bertenshaw: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

With two players at risk, the {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} put them both squarely behind Toleafoa's top pair and kicker as the {4-Clubs} rolled off on the turn to give Bertenshaw a flush draw to stay alive.

Fortunately for Toleafoa, the river landed the {K-Spades} to see him send two players to the rail while climbing to 220,000 in chips.
