Dodds Dusted

Joel Dodds during day one action
Joel Dodds during day one action

Joel Dodds opened to 2,500 from late position and found a caller from the big blind to see a {K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop fall.

Dodds proceeded to fire three barrels of 3,600, 7,500 and 17,000 as the turn and river rolled out the {3-Clubs} and {9-Hearts} as his opponent check-called each time.

Dodds tabled his {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} for air as his opponent stationed him with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades} to see Dodds slip to 30,000 in chips.

Dodds would again run into jacks when he found a pocket pair or tens, and once the board blanked out, Dodds found himself down to 15,000.

Just a few hands later Dodds' {A-}{5-} wouldn't be able to keep him alive in the tournament against an opponent's {A-}{9-} as the PokerStars Online Qualifer and Sydney Poker Championships fifth-place finisher made his way to the rail
