Vorapanich had a bet of 55,000 laid out in front of him and Steicke was in the tank. After a couple minutes, Steicke had the clock called on him. Then, he moved all in for a little more than the 55,000, to which Vorapanich snap-called with top set of kings. Steicke held just pocket queens and was drawing dead. The river card completed the board with the and that was all she wrote for Steicke. Vorapanich scooped in the enormous pot and now has 446,000 chips.
Brian Green opened the pot with a raise to 7,000 before Wayne Stitchling moved all in for 28,500 right behind him. When the table folded back to Green, a wry smirk crossed his face, and he was obviously eying up the pot odds that he was being given. They were good, right at two-to-one, and he made the call to put Stitchling at risk.

The flop was a big sweat for the endangered Stitchling as it came out a flush-drawy . The on fourth street was one of the safe red cards, but the river was not. The peeled off the deck, improving Green to the winning flush and sending the Aussie Stitchling off to the rail.
From the small blind, Oscar Teran raised to 7,000. Ramon Cserei reraised all in for 38,900. After a minute in the tank, Teran called. He held two black sixes and was up against the of Cserei.

Barbara Rose just notched a much-needed double up through Guillaume Patry. All in with for her last ~24,000, Rose watched Patry turn over a dangerously live .

We picked up the action on the turn as the board showed . Day 1b chip leader Henrik Gwinner led out with a bet of 6,800 into a heads-up pot of about 10,000 chips. His opponent quickly made a raise to 25,000 straight, and Gwinner went into the tank for couple minutes. He finally announced an all in for just over 60,000 total, and his opponent made the call with the covering stack, Gwinner's tournament life now at risk.

Gwinner was clearly a bit nervous about fading the flush draw, but the nervousness would soon subside. The dealer gave him a blank turn and river -- and respectively -- and that earns Gwinner a pretty sizable double up. He's moved his way to about 136,000 as he stacks that pot.
Kai Paulsen raised to 6,000 under the gun, and Julian Powell called from the next seat over. It was just the two of them to the flop. Paulsen bet out 8,500, and Powell slowly made it 23,000. Kai doubled the bet, making it 66,000. No more playing around for Julian, who four-bet shoved. Paulsen snap called, showing that his had flopped a set. Powell was mighty unhappy just to be holding . "And I slow played it perfectly, too," he lamented. The turn brought the , giving Paulsen four to a flush and leaving Powell with one out. It didn't appear, and his tournament is done while Paulsen's is just beginning. He's taken over the chip lead with 420,000.
Action folded to the cutoff seat and he limped in before Brendon Rubie raised to 6,000 from the button. Marcel Luske moved all in from the small blind for about 40,000. The big blind, cutoff seat and Rubie all folded to give Luske the pot.
On the next hand, action folded to Luske on the button. He raised to 6,500. Kitson Kho reraised from the small blind to 16,200. Luske moved all in for 51,200 when action got back to him and then Kho went into the tank. Once again, Keith Hawkins chimed with by calling the clock at the table. Towards the end of the countdown, Kho called and tabled the . Luske held the .
The board ran out and Kho sent over the chips to Luske. The Team PokerStars Netherlands pro now has over 100,000 chips while Kho was left with 52,000.
Ramon Cserei was all in for 22,000 with and called by a player holding . The door card was the , a good one for Ramon, but the next two were the and , giving his opponent a higher pair but him a flush draw. The on the turn earned a big smile from Ramon. Just as the announcer said that Ramon had to dodge an ace or a queen to survive, the dealer laid out an ace - but it was the , making Cserei the nut flush for a sweat-filled double up.
Action folded to one of the tournament big stacks, Jun Wei Liu, on the button. He raised to 5,000. The small blind folded and then Brendon Rubie reraised to 15,000. Liu paused for a moment and then made the call. On the last break, Rubie discussed how he felt Liu would be the easiest player to attack and win chips from at his new table.
The flop came down and Rubie took a moment. He then checked to Liu. Liu made a bet of 15,000, tossing three T5,000 chips across the felt almost right in front of Rubie. The youngster made the call.
The turn added the to the board and completed a possible flush draw in diamonds. Rubie checked once more and then Liu fired a bigger bet of 38,000. Rubie took his time and then made the call, creating a pretty big pot in the middle of the table.
The river completed the board with the . Rubie checked once more to his opponent. Liu tanked for a little bit before asking how much Rubie had left. "About 120,000," said Rubie. Liu then tanked for another minute or two before announcing that he was all in. The all-in bet was worth 97,400. It was now Rubie's turn to tank and tank he did. He tanked for a few minutes before eventually Keith Hawkins chimed in by calling the clock on Rubie. Rubie looked pained by the decision, but tried to put the pieces together. He even tried prying some information out of Liu, but all Liu responded with was "No English, no English."
About halfway into the countdown, Rubie made the call quietly, almost as if the words wouldn't leave his mouth. He even had to reiterate it for the dealer to hear him. Liu had to show first and tabled the for just a pair of fours. Rubie rolled over his , having made the call with just a pair of queens and snapping off Liu's bluff.
Rubie stood from the table and looked around, "Somebody high five me, somebody high five me!" he pleaded before slapping one of the tournament reporters. Rubie hero called his way to a pot worth about 300,000 chips and now has well over that mark. He's now the new chip leader by a sizable portion.
