Ship Another One to Kim

Albert Kim
Albert Kim

On the flop of {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}, Albert Kim fired out a bet of 30,000. Mikael Rosen raised to 86,500. Kim took a few moments and then said, "Where's that triangle thing?" to signal that he wanted the dealer to toss him the triangular all-in button. The dealer did so and Kim was all in. Rosen made the call and tabled the {K-Hearts}{K-Spades} for an overpair. Kim had the {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} for a pair of sevens and a straight draw.

"One time!" yelled out Kim.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and it looks like Kim got his one time. Although Rosen had a flush redraw, it didn't come when the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river. That pot was worth around 600,000 chips and was massive. It propelled Kim to 775,000 and knocked Rosen out of the tournament.

Kim Turns a Lady

Albert Kim came into the pot with a raise to 15,000 on the button, and small blind Jeppe Drivsholm made the call to go heads up to the flop.

It brought {J-Hearts} {6-Hearts} {8-Diamonds}, and Drivsholm led out into the raiser with a 20,000-chip bet. Kim didn't waste much time calling, and the {Q-Spades} dropped on fourth street. Drivsholm gave the betting led back to Kim now, and Kim obliged him with a half-pot bet of 35,000. Drivsholm called quickly.

The innocent {2-Spades} was the last card off the deck, and Drivsholm took about a minute to consider before checking. Kim stacked out another 35,000 chips and slid them forward, drawing a slight chuckle from his opponent. Drivsholm eyed up both of the stacks before reluctantly making the call.

Kim half-asked, "Ace-queen," flashing his {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}. It was good; Drivsholm shook his head and flung his cards into the muck, dropping his stack down to 280,000. Kim has climbed to 435,000 as he stacks that nice little pot.

Green All Red with Diamonds

Jukka Juvonen had raised under the gun and Brian Green flatted on the button. The two saw a flop come {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Juvonen and Green proceeded to get all the money in, but Juvonen's {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades} were out-flopped by the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of Green.

The turn and river were no help for Juvonen and he was eliminated by Green's diamond flush.

Dutchman Flies Elsewhere

Marcel Luske
Marcel Luske

Marcel Luske moved all in - no, no wait, he saved himself one T1,000 chip. Mikhail Mazunin called and was kind enough to check it down with Mr. Luske. The board came out {9-Spades}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Luske tabled ace-king, but Mazunin held {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a six-high straight. The next hand, Luske was all in for 500 after paying the ante. Timothy Cherep, who still hasn't stopped running his mouth, moved all in over top, successfully isolating Luske. Marcel was eligible to win 5,500 from the pot, and he had the best hand with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} against Cherep's {a-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. But it just wasn't to be. The cards fell {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}, and the four on the turn was enough to end the Flying Dutchman's tournament. Finally, with a 27th-place finish for HK$76,400, he has his first cash in Asia.

Judges Gets the Electric Chair

Darren Judges
Darren Judges

Darren Judges was under the gun with 79,500 in his stack. He moved all in. Brian Green called form the next seat over and then everyone else folded. Green held a dominating position with his {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} over Judges' {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}.

A king in the window gave Judges hope, but those hopes were dashed then the rest of the flop rolled out: {K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. The turn put the {Q-Diamonds} out there and now Judges had a flush draw while both players held two pair. The river was a black five, the {5-Spades}. Judges couldn't find the help he needed and was sent home at the hands of Green.

Gwinner a Loser

Henrik Gwinner
Henrik Gwinner

Henrik Gwinner moved all in from middle position for 54,000. John Chong was in the small blind and made the call. Gwinner held the {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs} and Chong a dominated {A-Spades}{10-Spades}.

"Please don't kill me! Please don't kill me!" pleaded Gwinner.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} and gave Gwinner a pair of jacks. Chong managed to pick up a straight draw so he wasn't dead yet.

The turn put the {K-Hearts} on board and nailed the straight for Chong. The river completed the board with the {6-Hearts} and Chong was able to come from behind yet again to send a player to the rail.

Rosen Hero Calls Luske

We're not sure how they got there, but Mikael Rosen and Marcel Luske were heads up and staring at each other over a board reading {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Rosen checked, and Luske bet 58,000. Rosen made the call, and Luske could only table {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for ace high. Rosen showed the monstrous {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for bottom pair with four to a straight and a flush draw on the board. Nice call. Rosen is up to 350,000, while Luske is in the red zone with 55,000.
