Welcome to APPT Macau!

The 2010 PokerStars.net Asian Pacific Poker Tour Macau Main Event is fired up and ready to go here at the beautiful Grand Lisboa Hotel and Casino. Last year, Dermot Blain emerged victorious over the field of 429 runners that showed up. He took home over $540,000 for his win.

This years event comes a few months earlier than last year's, scheduled before the World Series of Poker instead of after. This event is a great lead up to the summer series in Las Vegas and should provide great action from the felt with a packed field.

Team PokerStars Asia will be in the house in full effect along with Dutch pro Marcel Luske, who has been spotted in his ever so dapper suit getting ready for action today. Also in the building are top pros JC Tran and Nam Le. It's still unknown weather or not they'll sit down for Day 1a, but they're definitely here to play. Emanuel "Curly" Seal and Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt are some of the other names playing in the Main Event and one half of the Hachem team, Tony, will be in the field as well.

Play kicks off today at 12:15 p.m. local time with the first of three Day 1 flights. Be sure to keep your browser pointed to PokerNews for all the live updates coming straight from the tournament floor.
