We haven't caught many hands with the 2011 World Series of Poker Player of the Year Ben Lamb, but he's having a fruitful Day 2 thus far.
In a recent hand, there was around 12,000 in the pot and a flop of . Chunlei Zhou had 4,500 out in front of him and was contemplating what to do as Lamb had raised him to 12,000 from the hijack. Eventually Zhou made the call and then checked the turn. Lamb nonchalantly dropped in a stack of chips for a bet of 27,000, which had Zhou covered. Zhou thought for about ten seconds before releasing his hand.
Action folded to EPT Barcelona champ Tom "hitthehole" Middleton on the button and he raised to 1,200. Adrian Gray called from the small blind, and then Australian Craig Cockburn three-bet to 3,700 from the big.
Middleton responded with a four-bet to 8,200, Gray got out of the way, and Cockburn five-bet to 14,700. Middleton then six-bet all in and Cockburn called off for approximately 36,000 total.

Cockburn:
It was a classic flip with Cockburn looking to hit. The flop didn't give him what he was looking for, but it did deliver him a Broadway draw to go with his overs. The turn didn't change much, and the dealer proceeded to burn one last time and put out the on the river. Cockburn missed, wished Middleton luck, and then took his leave from the tournament.
Meanwhile, Jaswinder Suri has been eliminated from the tournament.
Kai Paulsen opened from under the gun to 1,500 only to have Aidan Tam three-bet to 5,000 from the cutoff. The action passed back to Paulsen and he four-bet to 11,500.
Tam spent nearly two minutes deliberating before pushing out all his yellow 5,000-denomination chips into the pot signifying a five-bet to 120,000. Paulsen then took his allotted time before eventually opting to commit his 41,500 total as the cards were then placed on their backs.
Paulsen:
Tam:
With Tam dominating the Norwegian, the flop furthered Tam's lead but left the gate open for backdoor spades for Paulsen. And that's what would be delivered on the turn as the fell, but unfortunately for Paulsen, the river landed the and he was forced to head to the rail as Tam soars to 191,000 in chips.
Team PokerStars is a player light with the recent elimination of Celina Lin.
We missed her final hand, but we were able to find out some details surrounding her elimination. According to a member of the tournament staff, a preflop raising war resulted in Lin getting her stack in with only to run into the of Norway's Tore Lukashaugen. The flop paired Lin's queen, but she needed a little more help to stay alive. The turn didn't do it, and neither did the river.
The ACOP has been playing out for the better part of the week, and we thought it'd be worthwhile to bring you the results from some of the preliminary events. Enjoy!
With 5,000 in the pot and a flop of , the big blind checked and Xing Zhou, who is the defending champ, bet 2,500 from the under-the-gun position. Aliaksei Boika made the call from the button, the big blind folded, and it was heads-up action to the turn.
Zhou slowed down with a check, but he still called when Boika bet 4,000. When the completed the board on the river, Zhou took the initiative and bet 4,500. Boika thought for a few moments before tossing in a call, and Zhou confidently rolled over the for top pair. Much to his surprise, it was no good as Boika tabled the for a flopped set.
