The Main Event has now hit the snail pace of speeds.
With only a handful of big denomination (25,000) chips in play, players are choosing to bet with their 1,000 and 5,000-denomination chips and consequently there is extra time being wasted in making bets, calling bets and then stacking up chips.
Adding to this, big pots are at a loss like water in a desert as getting to showdown is a rarity. The usual play sees a single preflop raise collecting the blinds and antes, but those times we do see a flop it usually is a preflop raise and a call, a few checks and then a single river bet to win the pot.
It's not the most exciting time in the Main Event but we expect it to pick up soon.
Devan Tang opened to 40,000 and Yifan Zheng called from the big blind to see a flop fall.
Tang continued for 60,000 and Zheng called before the was checked by both players. The river landed the and Tang's bet of 120,000 was enough to prompt a fold from Zheng.
