Tian Doubles Through He

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Chang He opened to 165,000 and Hao Tian moved all in for 405,000 from the button. He asked the dealer for an exact count before tossing in a yellow T-5,000 chip for the call.

He: {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Tian: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}

The player at risk was loudly demanding for an ace and got what he asked for on the {Q-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop. He did pick up a gutshot straight draw and some more outs on the {K-Hearts} turn. The {9-Clubs} river was no risk for Tian and he doubled up and celebrated.

Lau Shows an Ace

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

A few all in moved went through uncalled and then a flop emerged out of the blue. Marcus Lau had raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and was called by Shashank Rathi on the button as well as Liang Yu in the big blind. The {5-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop was checked to the initial raiser and Lau moved all in for 365,000 to enforce two folds.

Lau turned over the {A-Spades} for top pair and mucked his second card before stacking the profit.

Zhou Zhou Eliminated in 11th Place (HK$293,000)

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
Zhou Zhou - 11th place
Zhou Zhou - 11th place

Shashank Rathi opened the action with a raise to what looked like 90,000 and Zhou Zhou defended his big blind to see a heads-up flop of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Zhou check-called a bet of 100,000 and checked again the {7-Spades} on the turn. Rathi moved all in and Zhou tank-called for his last 500,000 with the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} for a straight.

Rathi however had that beat with {J-Spades}{8-Hearts} and the {3-Spades} on the river sent Zhou to the rail in 11th place just shy of the next break.

Hajime Haraikawa
Hajime Haraikawa

Hajime Haraikawa moved all in from the small blind and Liang Yu checked his cards before asking for a count. He then made the call with {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} and the Japanese was at risk for 430,000 with {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} while being covered for only two big blinds.

The board ran out {5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and all the prayers of the Japanese for an ace went unheard as he bubbled the High Roller in 12th place.

Scary Moments for Zhou

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Zhou Zhou announced all in from the button and table neighbor Asa Smith asked the dealer for a count. It was 590,000 in total to call and the Brit had that covered, but it was for two third of his own stack. After a long consideration, Smith mucked and Zhou breathed again with a smile on the face.

Kelly Busts; Hand-For-Hand Mode

Level 18 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante
JP Kelly
JP Kelly

JP Kelly open-shoved for 315,000 from early position and Randy Lew tank-called out of the big blind for his last 265,000 with the {A-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. Kelly held {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and failed to improve on a board of {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} to fall back to 50,000 as a result. Two hands later he was forced all in out of the big blind and faced two opponents, who checked down the {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs} board.

Hao Tian showed the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for quad fives out of the small blind and scooped the pot.

At the same time, Liang Yu was all in for 205,000 and Marcus Lau reshoved for more than 600,000 to isolate successfully.

Yu: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Lau: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Yu doubled on the stone-cold bubble. Hand for hand mode has been activated but first the two tables had to be balanced.
