It wasn't going to take long for two monster stacks to clash.

The action started when the option folded to Mike Woo on the button. He raised it up to 14,000 and was called by Jason Mo in the big blind.

The flop came down {2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and both players checked. When the {a-Diamonds} fell on the turn Mo checked. Woo reached for his chips and bet out 13,000. Mo thought for a moment before bumping it up to 40,000. Woo eyed off his opponent before making the call.

After the dealer produced the {3-Spades} on the river Mo sat motionless for a minute before sliding out a bet totalling 105,000 in chips. He then watched as Woo announced all in for 265,000 in chips.

“I have the second nuts,” said Mo, assessing the situation.

“This is brutal,” he added.

“I think you have the king-eight of diamonds,” he finished with.

Mo eventually talked himself into calling with an additional 24,000 in his stack and was relieved when Woo tabled his {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for just a pair. Mo then rolled over his {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for a flush and took down the massive pot.

The action folded around to Takuya Suzuki on the button who raised it up to 11,000. Takahiro Nakai was seated to his left and bumped it up to 32,500 in chips. The big blind folded as the decision fell back on Suzuki. He thought for a minute before putting in a large raise to 143,000 in chips. Nakai turned around to look at the clock before announcing all in for 187,500 in chips. Suzuki made the call and the cards were shown.

Suzuki: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Nakai: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}

The start of day chip leader would find no help as the board ran out {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{6-Spades} to see him lose to a set of jacks on the flop.

Kim's Stressful Day Continues

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Dong Kim just moved all in for 59,000 and Tom Alner moved all in over the top after which the other players folded.

"You've got an ace?" Kim asked.

Alner shook his head and showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, as Kim showed {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}.

The board ran out {K-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Kim found a way to double his stack.

"This is way too stressful," Kim said as he exhaled.

Usually Kim plays high stakes heads up cash games online, but he's definitely feeling the thrill of tournament poker.
