Bryan Huang Eliminated in 25th Place

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang
PokerStars Pro Bryan Huang

Bryan Huang was eliminated in 25th place, leaving Mikhail Shalamov as the lone PokerStars Pro in the field.

Huang shoved his last 62,000 and Wu reshoved over the top. The rest of the table folded, leaving the two heads up. Huang had {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Wu had {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}. The flop gave Huang some hope when it came {7-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, but the flush never came as the board ran out {9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Wu won the hand with a full house and Huang was eliminated.

Shalamov was actually moved into the seat Huang vacated right after the bust out. Shalamov might not be too far behind Huang, since he has less than 100,000.

Michael Addamo Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Addamo's stack really suffered during the bubble period.

It had shrunk to 34,000 when he moved all in and he was followed into the middle by Zhou Zhou with his 160,000 before Thomas Ward called to create a three-way pre flop showdown.

Addamo: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Zhou: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Ward: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The board ran {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Spades}{6-Diamonds} to pair Zhou's queen on the turn. Addamo was the first to hit the rail but many more will follow before play concludes.

In the Money, Chan Bubbles

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Andy Chan shoved for his last 81,000 in the small blind. Sergey Lebedev called. Chan was frustrated after the call and seemed to think he was far behind. He showed {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Lebedev showed {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. The board ran out {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and that was the end of the line for Chan.

Chan is eliminated in 28th place and now each of the remaining players is in the money and will take home a minimum of $193,000 HKD. ($24,900 USD approx).

Hand for Hand

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

There are 28 players remaining and 27 of them will make the money. Hand-for-hand play has begun with a little more than 60 minutes left in Day 3.

Ko Red, Bubble Time

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Yuki Ko shoved all in from middle position and Nan Tu shoved over the top.

Ko had {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} and Tu has {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. The board ran out {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, giving Ko top pair and the lead, but the running diamonds on the turn, {5-Diamonds}, and the river, {2-Diamonds} would give the pot to Tu. Tu knocked Ko out with a diamond flush.

Updated Counts

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Tadeschi is Tough on Short Stacks

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

When Paul Tedeschi has been in late position over the last hour or so, he has been very active and opening with a lot of raises. The two players to his left are among some of the shorter stacks remaining, and don't seem too eager to play back at him for now.
