Welcome to the second and final starting day of the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Manila ₱55,000 Main Event.
Yesterday's flight drew a total of 604 entries, breaking last year's Main Event record on the first flight already of the event, and making it the largest international tournament with a buy-in of ₱30,000 or more in the history of the Philippines. Among 167 survivors, It is China's Yuan Chao Li who bagged the chip lead at the end of Day 1a with an impressive stack of 430,000.
Players will begin today with 30,000 in chips and will play twelve 45-minute levels. There will be a 10-minute break every three levels. The late registration and reentry period will close after Level 9, at approximately 1:15 a.m. local time. This event features unlimited reentries. Players who found a bag at the end of the first flight have the option to give it another shot today if they're not happy with their stack. Only their biggest stack will carry through to Day 2.
The survivors of both starting flights will combine for Day 2 action on Saturday, August 11 to continue to battle it out.
