The Biggest Pot of the Main Event

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

An amazing 1 million-chip pot just took place in the Main Event, and it put its winner to the top of the chip counts.

We caught the action on the turn, with the board showing {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. The player in the big blind had bet 45,000, Lijiang Liu raised to 145,000 from UTG+1, and the big blind three-bet to 245,000 chips. Liu decided to call and there were already more than half a million chips in the table.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and the big blind player announced all in. Lijiang Liu went into the tank for about two minutes, but then grabbed some chips and hit them hard in the table, announcing the call for his life, with a little bit more than 200,000 chips behind him.

He tabled {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a straight and his opponent was very disappointed when he saw it, opening his {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for trips.

Liu was very excited with his win, as well as his friends in the rail, as they were all together shouting for the huge pot he won. With this pot, Lijiang Liu is in the top of the chipcounts with 1,000,000 chips.

Level 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Jian Liu is the player who departed from the felt in 32nd place, meaning that he received the second pay jump of the event. He was left with seven big blinds and shoved with nines, only to get called by kings and lost the pot.

A couple of hands earlier, Xiaosheng Zheng, the player who was stalling for his decisions, busted in 33rd place, unable to reach the pay jump.

Clock Every Hand

Level 18 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

There has been an incident in a table where a player was stalling in each and every of his decisions. Shawn Busse is in the same table, and he asked for the clock in one of the last hands. The tournament director came on the table, and Busse informed him that actually he wanted to call the clock on every hand on him, since he is doing it even before the money bubble.

The director started counting the clock on the current hand, and informed the player that he will have 15 seconds in all his future hands if he keeps on doing this.

Finally, he folded and play continued in the table, while he seemed ready to obey as he folded really quick on the next hand. 33 players remain in the Main Event, and there is a pay-jump for the 32nd finisher.
