Honke Sends Lim Out

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Kenta Honke opened to 2,000 from the cutoff, Wilson Lim moved all in for 19,400 in the small blind and Honke called, players turned over their hands.

Wilson Lim: {a-Spades}{3-Spades}
Kenta Honke: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

The flop came down {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Honke's nines were still in the lead. A {2-Spades} came on the turn, giving Lim some hope with his flush draw. The dealer would turn over a {10-Clubs} on the river, not helping Lim as Honke took down the pot with his straight, eliminating the 2018 Manilla Main Event champ from the tournament.

Lew Puts Chen to the Test

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Randy Lew
Randy Lew

The flop was showing {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} and the pot contained 6,600. Action checked to Pete Chen who bet 2,000 and Randy Lew check-called. An {a-Diamonds} came down as a turn card and both players checked to the {5-Spades} on the river.

Lew checked to Chen, he bet 5,500 and Lew took a moment to think before he moved all of his 21,700 stack into the middle. Chen's face told a story of confusion as he looked unsure where he was at, ultimately he folded to Lew's all in, sending a pot to "nanonoko".

Noda With a Massive Stack

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante

Hiroyuki Noda had a shorter stack at risk and picked up a ton of outs with {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} against pocket fours. The {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop gave Noda an open-ended straight and flush draw. While the {6-Spades} turn also provided some counterfeit outs, he did get there with the {j-Spades} river.
