Gu Eliminated After Takayama Tank-Call

Level 7 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Action was on a {j-Spades}{9-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs} turn, and Mike Takayama had bet 16,500 into a pot of 35,000. His opponent Huidong Gu had then moved all in for 284,500.

Takayama had a real decision as a call would be for a large portion of his remaining chips. He used two time banks before calling with {k-Spades}{9-Clubs} for middle pair. Gu looked at his opponent's hand before tabling {2-Spades}{2-Hearts} for an under-pair to the board.
