Tsai and Cheng Keep on Battling
Junnie Pamplona lost a portion of his stack without any major action and Eric Tsai then duelled with Chao-Ting Cheng several hands in a row. Cheng had the best of it first with J♣J♦ to climb to more than three million in chips.
What followed was a min-raise to 120,000 by Cheng and Tsai defended the big blind. On a K♣J♥3♥ flop, Tsai check-folded to a bet of 120,000.
In the next hand, Tsai limped his small blind and called a raise to 200,000 by Cheng. Tsai check-raised the Q♦4♥3♥ flop from 150,000 to 500,000 and Cheng folded while exposing a heart.
Tsai raised the next cutoff for Cheng to call on the button. The 10♠6♦2♠ flop saw Tsai with a bet of 350,000 and Cheng earned the call. The 7♣ turn was checked and the 3♣ fell on the river. Tsai now fired a bet of 725,000 and Cheng used two time bank extensions before giving up.
