Souissi Bounces Back; Mai Recovers Losses

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Earlier on, Bien Mai had hit a set with a small pocket pair to win a bigger pot off Selim Souissi and the Tunisian struck back in a three-way showdown when his pocket sevens were up against two ace-kings on an ace-seven high flop.

Mai barely felt the loss, however, as he then barreled against Seunghun Ko shortly after. The K427 turn bet was worth 15,500 for Ko to call. What followed was the 9 river, which saw Mai with another bet of 40,000 and Ko folded.

Fujii Doubles Through Choi; Remnant Busts

Level 8 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Daisuke Fujii
Daisuke Fujii

On a completed board of A852A with some 21,500 in the middle, Daisuke Fujii had bet 14,200 and Hun Tae Choi raised to 32,000. Fujii jammed for another 14,200 on top and Choi asked for a count to then call.

Fujii revealed the A8 for aces full of eights, as Choi's J9 for a flush were no good.

Shortly after, Mark Remnant had a piece of the 422 flop with the 43. Choi revealed the 66 when they got it in, and the latter prevailed on the 9 turn and 8 river runout to knock out Remnant.
