Chao-Ting Cheng raised to 50,000 and Junnie Pamplona then three-bet to 150,000. It folded back to Cheng and he used one time bank extension to then move all-in and Pamplona snap-called.
Chao-Ting Cheng: A♦K♣
Junnie Pamplona: A♥Q♣
The A♠8♣5♠4♦7♥ board made sure that the kicker played and Cheng doubled. One more hand was concluded on the table before the final 11 contenders then went on a scheduled 10-minute break.
Chao-Ting Cheng was all-in for 260,000 out of the small blind and had the best of it against cutoff raiser Bien Mai.
Chao-Ting Cheng: A♣K♦
Bien Mai: A♠Q♥
Neither player connected with the 8♦7♣6♥10♠5♥ board and Cheng's kicker played, as he narrowly pulled ahead of Mai two eliminations away from the end of Day 2.
Junnie Pamplona was the initial raiser from under the gun and he once more ended up battling with Philip Tan, who was in the hijack this time. On the 10♦9♣4♠9♠ turn, Pamplona checked and then called a bet worth 185,000.
Pamplona checked again the 6♥ river and Tan fired a bet of 500,000.
The call by Pamplona followed and he celebrated, as did his rail from the Philippines, as Tan's K♦Q♣ was no good versus his A♠10♥.
On the tail end of a heads-up pot to the J♦7♣4♥J♣3♥ river, Junnie Pamplona bet 255,000 in the cutoff and Philip Tan called on the button. Pamplona tabled the 4♦4♣ for a full house and Tan mucked.
Junnie Pamplona raised on the button to 55,000 and Jun Lai used the entire 30-second shot clock, then invested the final time bank extension before he folded. That left the player from China with ten blinds and no more time bank extensions.
Over on the other table, Ting-Yi Tsai raised to 55,000 and Curtis Lim defended the big blind. The 10♠4♠2♠ flop was checked by Lim and he then folded when Tsai continued for 30,000.
On the five-handed table two, Kien Tat Heng won a pot off Ting-Yi Tsai when both turned two pair but the river killed any of the action.
Both tangled again in a heads-up pot to the 7♠6♦3♣3♦ flop. Tsai had made it 75,000 to go and folded when Heng check-raised to 225,000.
Philip Tan raised the button to 125,000 and won the blinds and antes.
Junnie Pamplona then opened to 80,000 and Tan called in the cutoff. Jimmy Torres three-bet to 350,000 in the big blind for Pamplona to shove for 1,255,000. Tan asked for a count and folded, as did Torres.
Jimmy Torres three-bet an open raise by Philip Tan from 50,000 to 200,000 while on the button and the initial raiser came along from under the gun. Tan opted to check the 9♣4♠3♣ flop and Torres then continued for 225,000, which won the pot without any resistance.
