In a duel small blind versus button, Daisuke Yamamoto had defended and check-called two bets by Riku Sasahara until the K♣8♠3♥2♣A♣ river on which he checked once more. Sasahara now bet 35,000 and Yamamoto waved with his hands to see the stack of his table neighbour and countryman.
Ultimately, no call followed and Sasahara won the pot without showdown.
Yoshifumi Sasaki put his hopes on the A♠10♥ and Karl Edoria looked him up with the superior A♥K♥. Edoria vaulted out of his chair and asked for a king, which he instantly received on the K♦5♦2♠ flop. Sasaki asked for a four on the 3♠ turn but the 10♣ river only gave him an inferior pair.
In the meanwhile, Ori Elul knocked out Minku Kang one table over to continue his rise on the leaderboard.
Tung Wing Wong open-jammed for 20,400 and Shun Jian Yee called on the button. Chip leader Sze Ngai Kao in the big bling reluctantly folded and was then somewhat surprised to see the following showdown.

Neither player connected with the K♦7♠5♠K♣7♦ board and the queen played as high card. "I had an ace," Kao sighed.

Feridoun Farboud raised to 3,500 and William Ysmael three-bet to 10,000. Carmelo Tutay Jr moved all-in with just shy of the starting stack as Farboud folded and Ysmael quickly called.
Tutay Jr was at risk with A♠K♣ versus A♣K♥ and there was no sweat on a ten-high board as they chopped it up.
Moments later, Ashish Ghosh was spotted on his way out after he was sent to the rail on table ten.
Teck Heng Chua got his stack in with the A♠J♠ and table big stack Sze Ngai Kao looked him up with the A♦A♣.
The K♠6♠6♣ flop gave Chua a flush draw but no further spade followed on the 3♥ turn and 8♦ river, as the rich got richer.
Lemmor Patulot was all-in with a shorter stack and flipped over a pocket pair only to find himself dominated by fellow countryman James Moriles.

The board ran out Q♦J♥4♠4♦K♣ and Moriles dealt the final blow with kings full of fours.
Over on table ten, Nicolas Cardyn tangled with David Boyd as they created a large pot to the 7♦6♣4♣A♥ turn. Cardyn pushed all-in and Boyd vaulted out of his chair to study the board, his own cards and his opponent while wincing at the missing light in this part of the room.
Eventually, he mucked the J♣9♣ face-up and confirmed it was a fold. Cardyn raked in the pot with a smile and never disclosed what he had.
