Nobuhiro Yabuuchi made it 300 to go from the button and Dan Schreiber called from the big blind. The flop came {3-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Yabuuchi checked to Schreiber who led out with a 500 bet. Yabuuchi then check-raised to 1,500 and Schreiber popped it once more to 2,500; Yabuuchi made the call.

The {9-Clubs} came off on the turn and Yabuuchi checked to Schreiber who open-shoved all in, causing Yabuuchi to lay it down. As the dealer raked him the pot, Schreiber tabled the {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, showing nothing but a double gutshot straight draw. Yabuuchi told the table afterwards that he mucked Q-J.

Stahle Crippled by Seal

On a board showing {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}, Emanuel Seal led out with a 600 bet. Christoffer Stahle then raised to 2,300 and was met by a 14,600 all-in bet from Seal. The bet sent Stahle into the tank for a solid five minutes before he eventually made the call.

At the showdown, Seal turned over the {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for flush and gutshot straight draws, while Stahle tabled {5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for trip fives. The last card off the deck was the {9-Hearts}, completing Seal's flush and leaving Stahle with just 2,700 in chips.

64?

According to Matt Savage there are currently 64 players in the field, though they'll be accepting late registrations throughout the day.

Juanda Doubles First

Tournament director Matt Savage just announced over the microphone that John Juanda has already doubled up, drawing a number of "Huh?!"'s and "What?!"'s from the other players in the field.

On a board reading {10-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}, Cailin Jin checked to Juanda who made it 3,000 to go. Jin then went into the tank for what seemed like an eternity before eventually moving all in for a total of 6,900. Juanda made the call and turned over {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for top set; Jin tabled pocket aces.

The river blanked out ({4-Diamonds}) and Juanda scooped the 30,000 pot, sending Jin to the rail as the first casualty of the afternoon.

The field is packed full of sharks and whoever wins this tournament will certainly have earned it.
