Monsour Matloubi Eliminated

Does the name ring a bell? For all of you poker aficionados out there, it should. Matloubi won the 1990 WSOP Main Event, besting Hans 'Tuna' Lund in a memorable heads-up match to take home $835,000 in prize money. Matloubi had quite a run in the early nineties, finishing 4th in the 1993 main event, and 16th one year later.

Matloubi has just been eliminated from the APPT Macau main event, after losing a coinflip to Aaron Schumacher holding {A-Clubs}

against Schumacher's {J-Hearts}

. Schumacher made a full house when the flop came {7-Hearts}

, and that was all she wrote for the former WSOP champ.

Matloubi's elimination leaves us with two former WSOP champions, Joe Hachem ('05) and Scotty Nguyen ('98).
