Chee Gone

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The action folded around to Terangi Matenga on the button who raised it up to 4,000. Yuet Chee then moved all in for 31,000 from the big blind and was called shortly after.

Matenga: {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Chee: {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {7-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{a-Clubs} to see Matenga improve to a full house on the river as another player hit the rail.

Minh and Farac Keep Battling

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Minh Nguyen and Zoran Farac have been battling it out over on their table. They recently played another hand, this time on a {6-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs} board. This one started with someone opening to 5,200, which Nguyen then three-bet to 12,600 from the button. Farac four-bet to 23,000 from the big blind and the original opener got out of the way, while Nguyen called.

Farac led for 16,000 on the flop, which Nguyen called and for 23,000 on the turn, which Nguyen also called. On the river, both players checked and Nguyen showed {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} – enough to send Farac’s {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} into the muck.

Bellard Busts

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Matthew Barker recently sent Rachel Bellard to the rail.

We picked up the action on the turn of a {q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} board. This is where Bellard’s short stack in with {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the open ended straight draw. Barker had {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top pair. The {8-Spades} river gave Bellard a pair, but enough to win the pot as she was out the door.

Guzzardi Straights Out Barker

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The table folded around to Matthew Barker on the button who raised it up to 3,600. Michael Guzzardi and Ryan Otto made the call from the blinds as the three watched the flop come down {5-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

Guzzardi and Otto checked then watched as Barker slid out a continuation bet of 5,200. Only Guzzardi made the call as the {j-Clubs} fell on the turn.

Both players checked before the dealer produced the {9-Spades} on the river. Guzzardi checked one last time prompting Barker to bet out 8,300 moments later. Guzzardi went into the tank for a minute before casually placing out a raise to 20,000. Barker contemplated his decision before making the call.

Guzzardi then tabled his {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a straight as Barkers cards went into the muck.

Nguyen Moving Up the Leader Board

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante
Minh Nguyen
Minh Nguyen

Zoran Farac and Minh Nguyen recently battled in a big hand.

We arrived on the turn of a {7-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} board with Nguyen checking to Farac who bet 6,000. Nguyen then raised it up to 18,900 and Farac made the call. On the {8-Diamonds} river, Nguyen led for 44,400 and Farac thought for just a while before making the call.

Farac would have to muck at the sight of Nguyen’s {k-Spades}{3-Spades} for a flopped flush.

Nguyen is now moving up towards the pointy end of the chip leader board.

More Kings for Blatt

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante

Dean Blatt was down under 20,000 at one point today and now he is up to 80,000.

The most recent hand to go Blatt’s way saw him eliminate Simon Misich.

It was Misich all in preflop with {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} against Blatt’s {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} – the same hand he had just a few minutes ago when he eliminated another player.

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Misich was on the rail, while Blatt had picked more chips up.
