Liu Takes Two Big Pots From Andre

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

In the first hand, Cyril Andre opened to 80,000 from under the gun. Jiajun Liu was on the small blind, and raised it up to 170,000 which was called.

The flop came down {j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and both players checked. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn saw Liu bet out 200,000 which was snap-called before the {j-Clubs} completed the board.

This time Liu checked, prompting Andre to quickly bet out 225,000 which was snap-called. Andre then tabled his {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} but would fall to Liu to rolled over {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} for the better hand.

A few hands later, Liu opened to 85,000 from the hijack. Andre made the call from the button, and Thomas Mcgarrity called from the blinds.

The flop fell {2-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The {5-Clubs} on the turn was checked firstly by Mcgarrity. Liu bet out 150,000 which only Andre called.

The {9-Diamonds} dropped on the river, and Liu immediately slid out 300,000 which was snap-called. Liu then tabled his {a-Hearts}{k-Spades} for aces-up, and scooped the pot as Andre mucked his hand in disgust.

Carlos Gets Crafty

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Carlos Chang opened with a raise to 60,000 from middle position before Thomas Mcgarrity three-bet to 135,000. Chang made the call and the two saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{K-Hearts}. Both players checked and the repeat {K-Diamonds} hit the turn. Chang tapped the table again and this time Mcgarrity bet out 130,000. Chang took hit time, cutting out chips on a number of occasions before eventually raising to 310,000. Mcgarrity quickly gave it up as Chang flashed the {3-Diamonds}.

Chang climbs to 1.3 million with Mcgarrity taking a small hit but he's still in front with 3.4 million.

Jean-Marie Peyron - 7th Place

The action started with Jean-Marie Peyron moving all in for his last 265,000 in chips. The table folded around to Billy "The Croc" Argyros who picked up his hand and saw a jack. He then squeezed out the card from behind to see another jack, and called.

Argyros: {J-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Peyron: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} to award Argyros the pot after holding with his pair.

Mcgarrity Straights Out Andre

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

With the flop reading {6-Spades}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}, Thomas Mcgarrity bet out 90,000 and was called by Cyril Andre as the {2-Spades} fell on the turn. Another bet of 165,000 followed, which was met with a call. The {a-Hearts} completed the board and Mcgarrity didn't stop his aggression, sliding out another 280,000 in chips. Andre made the call but mucked his hand when Mcgarrity tabled his {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the flopped straight.

Yat Wai Cheng Eliminated in 8th Place (HK$273,000)

Yat Wai Cheng - 8th Place
Yat Wai Cheng - 8th Place

The action folded around to Yat Wai Cheng on the button who moved all in for his last 330,000 in chips. Cyril Andre was in the small blind and made the call, as the big blind got out of the way.

Cheng: {k-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Andre: {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The flop of {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} gave Cheng a flush draw, and the {4-Clubs} on the turn gave him more outs. Needing any king, seven, five or heart card, Cheng would miss everything as the {q-Spades} completed the board.
