Pignatelli Dwindling

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante

Ryan Pignatelli has not been doing too well so far today as we just witnessed him losing another pot. Pignatelli raised from the cutoff to 3,600 and Eric Eng called from his left after which the big blind called as well.

The flop brought {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the action was checked to Eng who bet 4,700 and only Pignatelli called.

On the turn the {8-Hearts} hit and Pignatelli check-folded to a 8,800-chip bet. Eng chipped up some more and he's swiftly making his way up the leader board.

We're down to 56 players and that means we're almost switching to eight-handed play. When we're down to 40 players play will continue eight handed from there on out. The average stack right now is 91,428 or 50 big blinds.

Park Eliminates Demlakian

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante

Christian Haggart raised from the cutoff to 5,000 and SangHyn Park, on the button, reraised to 12,000. Ken Demlakian took some time to think but eventually moved all his chips in the middle from the small blind. The big blind and Haggart both folded.

Park made the call instantly and quickly tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. Demlakian tabled {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} and needed some help. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{k-Clubs}. Park took the pot with a flush and Demlakian called it a day.

Razavi Runs Out

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante
Sam Razavi
Sam Razavi

Sam Razavi, who started the day with a short stack, had lots of swings both up and down before he was just knocked out.

Razavi ended up all in before the flop holding two nines and that turned out to be no good against ace-jack. Razavi's opponent hit a jack right on the flop and that marked the end of his APPT Seoul Main Event.

Kampanatsanyakorn Lets One Go

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante

Chane Kampanatsanyakorn before the flop from the hijack and Eric Eng called from the small blind. The flop brought out {9-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Eng check-called 3,000.

On the turn the {5-Hearts} popped up and Eng opted to check-called once again, only this time the bet was 8,000.

The river completed the board with the {7-Clubs} and Eng lead out for 13,800. Kampanatsanyakorn went into the tank for quite a while but eventually he let go of his hand.

Kampanatsanyakorn's still off to a great start here today as he managed to more than double his stack before losing this pot to Eng.

Kihara Says Goodbye

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante
Naoya Kihara
Naoya Kihara

We came to the table just as PokerStars Team Online Naoya Kihara's chips were being pushed to Daniel Belov. We learned Kihara had jacks against the kings of Belov on a board of {a-}{3-}{q-}{10-}{6-}. At the end of the hand, Kihara had 3,200 and would be in the small blind for the next hand.

The next hand saw the player under the gun go all in and it folded to Kihara, who rolled his eyes in frustration as he folded.

Following that, Belov raised from middle position to 4,000. Action folded to Kihara who put his final 2,000 in the middle. The blinds folded and it was another contest between Belov and Kihara. Kihara tabled {j-Spades}{8-Spades} and was happy to see he was in better shape than he thought against the {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} of Belov.

Unfortunately for Kihara, he didn't find any help as the board ran out {10-Spades}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}. That doesn't mean he's done with poker for the weekend as he plans to play the Omaha event later today. He also talked about how excited he was to be heading to Las Vegas for the WSOP this summer.
